The vomit flavor in the second molasses batch is from a bacterial infection in the brew. The batch must have been contaminated by some bacteria before the yeast was able to kill it off with the alcohol. Make sure you use a good sanitizing agent like StarSan on all your jars and lids, bottles, spoons, measuring cups, anything that will contact the beer after it's boiled. Good luck on the next batch:-)>

@BillyRiouxAdventurer
@BillyRiouxAdventurer 6 лет назад
White pine is good for tea, but for beer, it's very strong and the buds don't have a light sugar taste... Try it, we never know.
@chuckbowne5161

try honey and give the beer more time. 8% beer is possible before the alcohol level kills the yeast. great vid billy!

Salut Billy.

@@lostandfound459 never heard of it, but concentrations are the keyword in this context... I've never heard of hops-only-beer, which would be the equivalent comparison.

If you think it tastes like vomit then it makes me think you had some sort of contamination in that particular bottle to get fermentation with something other than yeast. Possibly lactobacillus if it tasted sour.

@natureminimalistebricolage8951
