Next time I take my TR50 apart I'll polish the parts, and get a thicker bumper, it can't hurt. Thanks for the suggestion. I just bought a kit that included a new valve to mimic 11 joules version with a larger hole. Press fit with an o-ring. You really don't need the threads.

Rune, how do you explain that in this video the 11J version has had a valveblock removed? He even shows it briefly. You have previously said that there is no valveblock in this version. Perhaps it's different for US vs Europe?

@sun-man In Canada we can only purchase the 7.5j models which have valve blocks but no co2 restrictors.

Hi. Sean has the us model 7,5 joule version. This has the valve block. Here in Norway we have the 11 joule version and it does not have any valveblock. Cheers @@sun-man 😃

@@runerebel8441 At 05:10 he says he has already removed a valveblock from an 11J version. I assumed he was talking about another HDP, but later it emerges that he may be referring to a HDR. It's a very confusing video.

Cool. I just might try inspite myself. I have a broken one and my compact stopped working so I might as well open it up and figure it out. I would like to upgrade the barrel someday on my working one too. And I am looking forward to seeing you try to put that HDR valve in your compact. That would be really rad if that worked!!

Greetings from Mexico and thank you for your videos. I have just acquired the 7.5J version of the T4E HDP 50, and I know that because it has no restrictor. I'm wondering what's the best way to get the most power shoots from this marker. Should I remove the valve and add a barrel extension only? Do you know if there is a way to install a 11J restrictor on this 7.5J version? I'll appreciate your comments and mostly your recommendation to get the most of this. Thanks in advance!

Most power comes from removing the valve block inside the valve but also reduces shots to only about 6. Adding barrel length is another way to increase power. If you buy the Homdedefence-24 power kit it comes with a push in co2 restrictor that when coupled with the removal of the valve block gives pretty good power for about 10 shots instead. Alternatively you can try and make your own co2 restrictor. I have use a ball bearing successfully or Rune Rebel has a great method using a cut off used co2 cartridge.
@arbagoz
@arbagoz 2 месяца назад
@@lesslethalfordummies Awesome! Thank you for your prompt response. So, if I understand I should 1. Go for the valve removal, 2. Add the barrel extension and 3. Acquire the power kit and install the CO2 restrictor (is this possible? I mean, this 7.5J version accepts this restrictor?). I'm Ok with only 6 to 10 shoots, I want this mainly as non lethal home defense marker, but I'd like to be sure to get the most of the shooting power. BTW, what kind of ammo do you recommend for this purpose? (to combine with the pepper balls)
@lesslethalfordummies
@lesslethalfordummies 2 месяца назад
@@arbagozyes thats it. The co2 restrictor is designed to fit the 7.5j model. I find 8.4g 12.7mm steel ball bearings produce the most power from the marker and energy on target……but these size balls will destroy the ball detent (barrel seal) in a short period of time so you would need need the upgraded version from HD24 as well or just use 12.5mm steel balls. Either way the upgraded detent is almost a must because once you install it you can pretty much shoot anything without damage.

So how safe is it for the marker when you remove all that and don’t install the powerkit? That home defense 24 has ? Is it more powerful just removing that stuff and not adding power kit? And is it safe for seals and all that? Thank you!

Not sure if gonna get the power kit and barrel for this marker or just remove the stuff and add barrel just want it to be safe still and max power for defense

Great tutorial. It's a lot more complex to delete the valve block in the HDP than with the HDR. You made me chuckle when getting irrate about the dog hairs. I can relate, but with cat hair. Crazy about the missing bumper, although I too wondered if maybe that was standard for the 7.5j model. Btw, I call the top the receiver too 😂
@lesslethalfordummies
@lesslethalfordummies Год назад
Depends on whos recieving 🤣. Its bizzarro world here. Dogs with short hair everywhere and my cats dont have any hair? My other 7.5j version did have a bumper so i think it is safe to assume it was supposed to be there. I think i could have just plucked the block out from the end had i not planned on swapping the entire valve but that completely backfired whem the hdr valve didnt fit 😐
@ShelbyHarder
@ShelbyHarder Год назад
Ok it was the trigger not being fixed correctly. Got good bump in power now. Feeds inconsistent but may just need grease.
@lesslethalfordummies

You need to shim the follower. What happens is every time you fire now the follower kicks back and can cause failure to load or worse it snaps your follower. What projectiles are you using?

Instead of completely removing the valve can it be drilled out just a little?

Hey Sean - questions... Do you recommend the tuning barrel and HD24 pin? Would they make a difference? Also, I have just got the 7jules version, should I run with the double delete or just go with the disc alone? I just want 6 powerful and steady shots. What would you recommend mate?
@lesslethalfordummies
@lesslethalfordummies Год назад
The barrel yes. The pin has proven nothing in test after test on multiple channels and groups. Double deleted you will get 6 of the most powerful shots but fps diminishes quickly each shot. I have experimented with the restrictor in my Hdp but what i have seen from others is a slightly reduced output but much more consistent for 10-12 shots. I would check out Rune Rebels channel i know he has done lots of testing with and without restrictors and he would be more then happy to help make a good decision.

@@MarkWilcock Again speaking with no actual co2 restrictor experience but watching many of Runes videos he recommends no larger then 1mm but many do go 1.5mm. My advice is start with 1mm its always easier to go bigger 🤏🏼🕳️

If I remove the valve block from 7.5 Joule HDR 50 will that give any results on its own?
@lesslethalfordummies
@lesslethalfordummies 6 месяцев назад
Unfortunately because the 7.5j version has no co2 restrictor, removing the valve block would cause it to fart or stutter.
@thepepperballprepperlessle6486
By adding the milsig O ring. Do you still need to change the pin inside to shorten it? Also can you? Will it still function
@lesslethalfordummies
@lesslethalfordummies Год назад
Two very good questions that i do not have definitive answers because i have not tried a shortened pin. I suspect the short pin and the milsig oring may not function together because it may set the pin outside of the chamber even before charging the marker sending all the sir down the barrel.
@thepepperballprepperlessle6486
@@lesslethalfordummies thanks. That is kind of the track I was on. I’m also wondering how the modification you preformed with just the home defense 24 pin Co2 puncture pin would be. I just have a heavily moded out HDR50. But want to do an Hdp 50 build
@lesslethalfordummies
@lesslethalfordummies Год назад
@@thepepperballprepperlessle6486 the puncture pin meters the air and how fast co2 refills the chamber and grip area when double delete by creating a smaller hole. I found it had no real effect with the hdp50 so i went back to the standard pin. My understanding is the hdr50 behaves differently when double deleted malfunctioning after a few shots and letting all the gas out. The puncture pin alleviates this problem allowing a few extra shots to boot.

Is this the instruction vid for the first upgrade vid?
@lesslethalfordummies
@lesslethalfordummies Год назад
No unfortunately i didnt take the same approach when making videos for the Hdp as I did with some other markers. Your first course of action is to shoot it stock and make sure everything is alright. You do not need the modify pin kit for the Hdp its just a waste of money. The next step is to remove the valve block restrictor and due to technical difficulties that video never made it to RU-vid. There are numerous videos on the Tube that can help. You only need too punch out two pins to remove the upper receiver cover, unscrew the brass cap and pull out the block.
@R3TORT

So for the 7.5 joule version you NEED to buy the powerkit to install the co2 valve thing? or can i just remove the thing in the barrel that restricts co2?
@lesslethalfordummies
@lesslethalfordummies 15 дней назад
7.5j HDP just remove the valve block and you are good to go but only get about 6-7 shots…4-5 good ones.

@@lesslethalfordummies Thank you very much sir. Your videos are great btw. Another channel said something like this "make sure that if it is an older model HDP 50 that you have the new threaded valve block. It will keep it from being damaged overtime, leaking, or blowing out the bottom of the launcher. If you need that valve block, it is a full power drop in upgrade. They are inexpensive and I carry them in my shop." When i asked the same question. I was very confused by this answer do you know what he is talking about?
@lesslethalfordummies
@lesslethalfordummies 15 дней назад
Sounds like Jon 🙂. What they are referring to is the mid generation Umarex launchers had a poorly crimped co2 tube (Long black thing you put the co2 in the grip). Main point of failure was by leaving the marker charged overnight, using an allen wrench and over tightening or running high pressure HPA. The mid generation arent bad if treated with respect but upgrading to the newest version eliminates some of that worry.
@R3TORT
@R3TORT 15 дней назад
@@lesslethalfordummies Would the gen2 eliminate that issue? Thank you so much for answer
@lesslethalfordummies
@lesslethalfordummies 15 дней назад
@R3TORT yes the gen 2 come with the newest valve so it would be less of an issue. Remember nothing is indestructible but the new ones have been given the go around already and are doing well.

What does the valve lock do?

The valve block is what regulates power. It acts as a regulator so that the energy from this launcher does not exceed 7.5j.
