Butcher staring at Homelander is one of the coldest scenes in the show.

It's a very well done scene. The way homelander looks at him. At first he raises his head and gives him the superhero pose. "Huh, that fan loves me so much he doesn't care about the race" And then he probably sees the scars on that guy's face and kind of gets an idea that this dude looks rough, like a soldier or something. A nasty kind of dude. He feels something wrong in his gut and his expression is a bit annoyed.
