Facts! The number one driver of homelessness is the housing crisis. People keep spouting this bs about it mainly being the result of personal decisions because they don’t want to face the reality that many Americans are just a few missed paychecks, medical bills, or emergency car repairs away from homelessness. Drug addicts and people with mental illnesses are able to keep a roof over their heads if the prices are reasonable. It’s hard enough to overcome addiction and mental illness with a roof over your head, but without that it’s nearly impossible.
