@@lawrence1md This Monday the second version of the Start standard bar & open comb blade Gap 0.90/1.20/1.40/1.70 is coming out from HLS. I was thinking of getting the slant from HLS too but I have one slant razor right now that I don't use too much.

@@gavriel4137 at one time I heard it might be the first of the year but that was a while ago. I’ll be patiently waiting.

The Taiga is hands down my favorite adjustable. I agree that the ambassador does have blade feel. I would also describe some feel of the safety bar. For me it has a sharpness to it compared to razors that have more of a rounded or smoothed safety bar.

@@lawrence1md I have heard of the sharp feeling safety bar on the Ambassador but mine is just fine. I know because the feeling changes with the adjustment. I just got a really close shave with the Ambassador on setting 3 but it irritated the heck out of my neck. Why I didn’t adjust it down for my neck I don’t even know! I also know that my de technique is still improving so it could be mostly due to that and the swirling whisker pattern there. I used almost the same technique this morning with the Muramasa and had an equally close shave with less irritation. The difference was that I turned the adjustment down to 2 for my neck and up to 4 for my face. Science says I should try turning my Ambassador up for the face and down for the neck. Maybe be I will be able to use both razors comfortably. I will keep working on my technique and see where it leads me. Hopefully, I will arrive at an irritation free and smooth shave. Maybe I will get a Taiga for Christmas! We will have to wait and see.

@@beyproctor7673 yes if you can shave with the grain and across the grain on your neck you will have less irritation. I would try to adjust your stroke and direction in these areas to match your hair growth direction. Thanks for watching!
