...Wow! You've discovered the secret! [Chicko Rolls were invented in Bendigo! ...BTW!] A good trick for cabbage... use a vege peeler! LIKED and saved!

Hey there...thanks for that Indike. I think one theory was Chiko meant "chicken". But not sure of that as a chiko roll has no chicken in it except for chicken stock cube(s). So it's a bit of a mystery ro us Australians as well. Thanks for watching, and taking the time to leave a comment. Cheers!! 🙂

Nice job. I appreciate you actually trying to make your own, "egg batter dough." Spring Roll wrappers are not ok though. 🤪Totally wrong dough texture. Some tips, egg wash the wrapper, put the filling across the short side, roll it up, to create a thicker casing, without folding in the sides and then dip the ends in egg wash and then into bread crumbs, twice. The original is a long tube cut to size, and the ends are then applied. Try changing your frying temperature, as this impacts the surface texture and doneness of the dough. There are other recipe factors that impact the tensile strength of the dough, but that's a perfectionist's finesse. Still, nice job. Better than most that I've seen.
