Very cool, dude. If you're keeping the wet sump, make a gated baffle to keep the oil in the bowl. This helps when mounting bike engines into cars. Cheers. We found out the hard way when ours were mounted like yours are at the moment 😢

YES ITS BACK

That thing is going to rip! My car, with me in it, is 3280lbs and makes 300ish at the wheels. And it's feels pretty good! Still working to go faster and end goal is 400ish. It started life with a factory rated 170hp so I'm getting there.

1200lbs and 180hp thats 6.7lbs per HP, thats going to be a fun ass toy. My track car is 12lbs per hp so yea….going to be a blast

First off, good job on the garage. Waiting to see you get the hemi back in there. Next, I think that’s a really good idea to turn the motor and did a good job explaining why you’re using the motorcycle engine. If you recall, I was asking you to use your civic engine, but now it makes sense of what you’re doing. And finally, you mentioned doing another one. You may want to change the tubing on your front and rear suspension to the oval type tubing. I had seen it on Cletus‘s new car and I had another, feed of a guy that’s building a cart like yours that used that type of tubing. Way to refocus and keep it real. Great job!

Great to see this project back!!! given you have a metal lathe why did you not make solid steel bolting points for the front engine mounts? the aluminum inside the steel tube is going to vibrate itself to bits in no time, also the front mounts would benefit having some angle to the tube to add some side stability against the torque. looking forward to the next installment, Thanks for posting!!

Disassemble the Miata diff.take the ring gear off and replace it with a custom motorcycle sprocket. They do this across the pond in the UK quite often with their bike engined cars. Allows you to then have a chain drive differential.

weld a tray in close to the top of the trashcan and put some water in it, and it will help reduce the smoke comming off the plasma also

The formula cart will be significantly quicker because of your recent weight loss. You're down like 40lbs now? That's a huge benefit in a vehicle that small.

My 4800# station wagon made 720whp on 19psi. Your 1200# cart is the exact same power/weight ratio and my wagon is so much fun to drive. I have turned it up a few times to 25-30psi tho 😂

I would have gone with dog bone style mounts for the front engine mounts. Like you see in a bunch of FWD cars, then you would only have source ones of appropriate size and fab mounting tabs, weld in a mounting bar for them. That's just me some random guy, commenting a project I wish I had the time to build one for myself. Looking at a 2013 6.0l Votec L96 sitting in the corner of my garage needing a rebuild.

If you can keep this kart under 1250 with that motor thats going to make crazy power to weight. Which of course is part of the goal here and will be so sixk to be finished

Add turbo swing oil pick up and Maxx ECU U be in there it can handle it 💪

Plus you own a turbo company so if you need to add 30hp it should be no problem at least for you. The engine might say other wise though.
