Lion mane need to be activated before put into capsule for full benefit. Activation can be done by dry-freeze or heating technic but simple dehydration dont work. check all Paul Stamet dry mushroom supplement and you'll see they are all dry-freeze activated. Same thing for chaga, you cant just, dry, grind, capsule them and expect to same active compound as reliable professionally made one (ex : Stamet line, he's the world top mushroom dude). I looked at making my own capsule some time ago and there just no way to make them activated without real big bacth, money, or acces to commercial freeze drying gear. I suggest you do some research on it as it not that fresh in my memory. Have a great one.

I think you are supposed to make an extract rather than just drying it out. Otherwise it wont have any medicinal properties.
