First of all, a typical commercial solar cell is 6" x 6". A CD diameter is 4.75" (which is smaller than a solar cell, obviously). Also, a 6'x6" commercial solar cell puts out .5 to .6 VDC & ~4.5W, so the current output is ~9A. The video shows the CD has an output of 1.556V (which is very doubtful) & it doesn't show the output current or Wattage of a CD. I think the info in this video is NOT credible at all. If it was, then solar cell manufacturers would be using that technology for their commercial solar cells--which they do not use... Use your brain, people.
How do you solved the problem that 3kW of current would melt the aluminium foil on the terminals, where they connect first time with cabel. With the cabel i don't see that problem. Nice work guys.
