Girl i came to this recepie bc udon noodles have been completely sold out at the store... but I really wanted to eat them today on my birthday. I once did italian pasta but never ever did i try asian noodles. I still have not boiled them but they look and feel already soooooo good, unbelivable!! Luckily i did a double portion so i can dry some for a later use. But really, thank you so much, without even having eaten them - i did not expect them to come out this good !!!
Im low on resources at the moment, so i didn't have a hygienic way to knead with my feet, so i used my fists lol. It took a long time, but i was able to get a good consistency, the noodles came out a great, slightly stiffer than some of the store bought noodle ive had, but still very slurpable lol. It took me a little over 20 minutes of fisting them, i had to switch hands every few minutes lol.
oh, I admire your dedication! it must have been hard doing it with your fists but I'm glad they came out well! I was a little hesitant to try this recipe myself (because it looks like hard work and my executive function said "nope") but you have inspired me, I'll try this tomorrow
Great video, I love that all the Japanese noodle videos show people stepping on the noodles, even in Japanese restaurants in Japan. I bake bread, tortilla, pizza, pizza, pitas and make noodles, Pennsylvania egg noodles and even dog treats with carrot and sweet potatoes. Amazing how every culture uses the same ingredients in slightly different ways. But with the same techniques. Folding pressing and resting. Thank you.
I just saw udon recipes and clicked play... oh my gosh I laughed when I saw you kneading with your feet!!! I totally get it. Thank you so much for making my day!!!
Thnk u very much fr the wonderful demonstration, sharing your skills for those who want to learn the easy and proper way. More power to you and Godbless.
hi this is how i make noodle i knead for 10 min next let it rest 30 min next i knead 10 min more & next cut them ( ofc thinner ) & next i put them in fridge when i boil them. they go broken why?
I enjoyed watching this video.I learned something new today.i learnt how to kneed with the feet.i was looking for frozen udon noodles , as I'm in pakistan and I don't get this.
I knew they were made with your feet. And so when I was searching out a recipe here on RU-vid, I went through all of them until I saw yours! What a beautiful video.
This works like a champ. I was trying to make udon at home for my kid as she adore it and the one they sell at stores has too much of preservestives. Thank you very much, very appreciate.
Can you do this with lectin-free ingredients for inflammation reduction and weight loss? Like sorghum or hemp seeds? Gluten is one kind of lectins which causes all kinds of inflammation from farting to serious auto immune diseases like diabetes, Alzheimer's, and speed up cancer growth. After your lectin-free diets, you and your family will find that you have more energy and clarity.
