Hello Bailey, I have really missed you here on RU-vid. Sorry to hear that you have had Covid, and I do hope you will soon be really well again. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Kind Regards, Barbara in Scotland
Best wishes to you and your family, Bayley. Sorry to hear you all caught Covid and hope you are all recovering well. I missed your videos and look forward to when you feel well enough to vlog again. Take care...the health of you and your family is the most important thing. Cheers, Karen 💐🙋♀️🇦🇺
I hope you and your family are feeling better. After hectic weeks I finally had the time to sit and enjoy your latest video as a treat to myself, so I was disappointed that I was all caught up. I hope your energy returns and you're able to keep sharing snippets of your life with us. I have two boys around your sons' ages who love the same things. You're also inspiring me to get crafty again. Cheers and happy holidays from Canada!
Like other comments, I can only suggest that frozen broccoli is made palatable by cooking in stock, adding copious amounts of butter then dousing in a cheese sauce with extra cheese on top and cooking until the top is crisp and golden. Drinking half a bottle of a good red wine before eating helps too 😂
I love putting frozen broccoli on a sheet pan with a little olive oil and what ever spices feel right that day. I bake it for about 30 min on high heat and when it’s a little crispy, it’s fabulous!
Re: broccoli, it's the "hungry gap" which in gardening is where the winter crops such as broccoli are coming to a close, and the spring crops haven't come in yet, so that's one of the reasons they are expensive at the moment. Maybe a cheese sauce broc and cauli bake could work for the frozen stuff?
This has gone on quite long enough! I'm sick in bed feeling all stupid covidy and wondering where's my favorite you tuber (sorry Diane in Denmark) hope you and Mike and the kids and Luna are OK. Slightly creepy as none of us know you 😬 but honestly I'm normal. Please come back we are gagging for the Christmas vlog and the minimalist decor etc 🙏 we need guidance in our lives.
Hi Bailey. I'm just here to say that I hope you and your family are OK? You haven't posted in a little while. You've just popped into my brain a couple of times, anyway, I hope you're all OK. sarah.
Hi Sarah, sorry for not posting. I did think about putting up a community post but they never seem to show up in peoples timelines. We have all had covid and it was a lot worse than I thought it would be. I’m still feeling very fatigued but hope to have the energy to post again soon!
@@bayleymadeit oh my. Covid hit me harder than I imagined it would, this time a year ago. I hope you are all in recovery. No need to apologise, I just really enjoy your videos. You feel like a friend. X best wishes to you all.x
@@bayleymadeit , I hope you are all better soon. It took me a long time to get my energy back after I was sick this past summer. Hoping you are back to normal sooner rather than later!
Thank you for the update Bailey! I’m sorry to hear you all had the C. It can take a while to recover fully. Take good care of yourself! ❤ I had it 1,5 years ago and never got my energy back (I also have an underlying health issue which probably contributes). My best tip is to take very regular breaks of 15-20min to recharge your battery. Lie down with your eyes closed and set an alarm. In silence or with a meditation or relaxation audio. Make those breaks so often that you lie down just before feeling really drained. When you don’t feel tired, lie down anyway. That’s extra energy you’re putting back in your battery. I now take 3-4 breaks a day, but I started with about 8, so it definitely helps! I was told about this by a doctor specializing in chronic fatigue. It help to recharge your energy battery. I hope you feel better soon!
@minimom we had it earlier this year and the recovery felt like it took forever. Rest up and we’ll be excited to see you when you are up to filming again.
Bayley I agree the frozen broccoli is not as good as fresh but this is how we cook it - cook in frypan with 1 /2 cup boiling water from kettle for 2 minutes only. Drain into colander then return to pan with 1 tablespoon olive oil & half a teaspoon of vegetable stock powder or one crumbled vegetable stock cube. Stir over low heat 1 minute. Add black pepper & serve. Another way that's quick & easy is to cook quickly as above, then after draining return to pan with 2 tablespoons room temperature cream cheese. Top with breadcrumbs & put under grill till golden. Good work with the zipper!
Hey Bailey, glad you are feeling better. For frozen broccoli, stir-frying with garlic saved it for me. Cut broccoli into thinner pieces. In the frying or wok pan, heat butter with a bit of olive oil (so the butter doesn't burn) and add crushed garlic. My family also likes when I add a string of rosemary. Stir fry broccoli until tender or to your liking, don't forget to add salt and black pepper. My daughter is a teen, so she likes it stir-fried and a bit crunchy, but for my 5 yo nephew, I first steam/boil broccoli for a few minutes before stir-frying it. I hope it works for your family too 🙏
I find frozen broccoli terrible aswell. I love the bag you've made. I'm glad you're all feeling OK now. I love seeing you do the capsule wardrobes for the boys x
Hey Bailey, I’m sorry I haven’t been commenting on videos lately, I hope you and yours are all good by now! Have a good summer break;) your vlogs and videos have become a soothing ritual in my life , thanks for sharing with us. I can promise you at least for me it’s really something I look forward to and enjoy and think about your ideas a lot
Thank goodness all are feeling better, I don't miss when all my children and husband would get sick. You'r sewing getting lots better. Winter is on its way here in North Dakota. My oldest son works on the oil rig on the canadian boarder. He said it snowed the other day up there. I love Autumn but here it is short compared to Vermont. Hope you have a warm summer.
Yay for free hand-me-downs! I have friends who do the same, our clothes go through alot of kids and it helps us all out so much 😁 good way to save alot of money
Hi Bailey. Hope you and your family are ok? Ive just read the comment below and see youve been poorly. So sorry. Kept thinking about you and watching for your next lovely video. Take care, hope you all feel better soon. Happy Christmas Bailey♥ xx
Hi Bayley So sorry to hear you got Covid. Hope you feel a little bit better each day - one day at a time. Sending you healing thoughts from South Africa.
Hi Bailey I always love your videos- they are so calming and make me feel excited about being a stay at home mum- we have 3 boys and another little boy on the way this coming January and you have honestly helped me so much with literally everything home related. Thank you for being so generous and sharing these lovely videos. Hope you and your family are feeling better and looking forward to the festive season xx
I have 4 boys (and one girl who’s the oldest) too! 😊 My daughter cried bitter tears over every boy but the last one we had this year. She finally said with defeat, “Well, it’s what God planned and I love him just the same, just like I love my other brothers.” And it is definitely a joy being my childrens mom and staying home with them. You are doing great. 💕
Hi Bayley, just wanted to say I hope you and your family are feeling better soon. We’ve had 3 bouts of it in my house this year (my daughter got it first, husband and son got it a month later then three months later my daughter got it again and I got it too that time). Each of us had different symptoms, but that brain fog is no joke! Hope you’re able to rest up xx
Hey Bailey, I hope you and family are recovering. Sending you healing energy all the way from Holland. . Miss your videos, but please give yourself a good care and take t8me to recover. We will be here.
Hi Bailey, how are you and the family? Just checking on you to see how you are doing? Hope you are looking after yourselves ❤ much love from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤❤
I know you think your vlog was a mishmash but I really enjoyed it! It must be the time for new sewing machines…my old one was not working well and since you inspired me to start sewing I bought a new one recently and it arrived on my birthday last week🎉🎉I think I might have mentioned it in a letter I have sent to you with some pics of my latest projects….enjoy sewing on your new machine it’s great fun isn’t it? I love your bag with the swans on it. I have recently subscribed to britbox to watch the great British sewing bee..enjoying it very much although the poor contestants are so rushed. Please let Tobias keep 5 t shirts if he likes them all!
I just checked to see if you have posted a new video and to my surprise, I hadn't finished you last one. I know you are on school break so enjoy. Also, frozen veg...not my favorite. Can't beat fresh. I agree blah. The only way I can get any flavor is to thaw and drain it, then roast it in oven with olive oil & seasoning. Love that you are successful in you sewing and side business. See you soon.
Hi Bailey. I was just hunting the comments to see if all was OK and spotted the 'get well soons'. I hope you are all feeling better (esp you as looking after two wee ones with a brain that won't work is no treat) .....sending hugs! Take care of yourself 🤗
Hi Bailey, I hope this msg finds you well. Hope you and your family are feeling much better now. Missing your videos. Sending you Loads of lots of love and bright blessings from Malaysia.
Wow 4 of each. My son is 6 and sometimes goes through 2-3 shirts a day. And I often use Swimming shorts so over Summer they can have water play regularly and they dry easily.
I love the bags you’re making, it’s a shame overseas shipping is so pricey! My husband refuses to eat frozen broccoli so it seems it’s a world wide issue 😂
I really don’t like frozen broccoli either but if we have a bag I steam it then put it into a dish. Make a cheese sauce and pour over the top, sprinkle with a little extra cheese and fresh bread crumbs and bake in the oven until top is golden.
I just read reply. Sorry you have gotten sick with covid. We too have dodged it thus far. Take your time get really feeling well, your viewers will be here for you when you return.
Good coconut water is amazing, , bad is yuk(supermarket stuff basically ) in welly you should get the Coaqua Coconut Water it is soooo good. I struggle to find it in the mount. I make a smoothie spinach good coco water and frozen banana, even the husband likes it.
I buy a lot of frozen veg in the winter also to save money, but frozen broccoli also for us is the worst! I've successfully made a quiche or broccoli/cheddar soup with frozen, but that's about it.
Hey Bailey, hope you feel better and yours as well, best wishes to you all! I can definitely feel the void without your soothing routines;) wish I could reciprocate somehow to let you know how appreciate you are and to give you some strength. 💆🏼♀️🫶🏼
I agree that frozen vegetables are gross, peas and corn are all we buy frozen, broccoli is especially gross. Love the adrenal cocktail, I might try it, let us know if you notice a difference!
Hi.. I love your videos.. I’m also loving your knitting! Would you suggest the best place to start for beginning knitters? I don’t think I can read patterns well enough yet.. and the yarn weight is kind of confusing.. is there anything that helped you in the beginning? Thank you!
The only frozen veg I like are peas so I can’t help you there. Sorry Mike got sick as well, glad you have all recovered now. Well done on the zippered bag. I’ve never tried working with zippers yet. What a great collection of clothes you were given. I’ve always called them hand-me-downs but recently a friend called them pass-alongs and I like that better! Did the orange drink have any noticeable effect?
Hi Ann, yes I’ve been having the orange/coconut Water each day and it does give me a boost of energy in the afternoons 😊I like the idea of calling them pass alongs!
We love broccoli in this house but only the fresh , NZ prices seem really expensive, everyone feeling the pinch but that’s a ridiculous price for broccoli I feel terrible for you. We can buy heads of broccoli from about 79 p & a bag of tenderstem or purple sprouting broccoli from about £1.29p to £2.20p. My neighbour use to add a squirt of lemon juice to hers whilst cooking but I don’t know as I only eat the fresh. Butter expensive in the UK at the moment x
Happy to hear everyone is better. Stomach bugs are the worst! Did the adrenal cocktail help? I don’t drink coffee (caffeine makes me crazy anxious), but I often need a pick me up in the early afternoon and resort to chocolate. I might try this drink! The zippered pouch looks great! I totally get needing quiet time when the kids are off school. I’m like that too.
@@bayleymadeit thank you! I will give it a try. I forgot to add to my comment that you can also roast frozen vegetables in the oven. They will be softer than fresh, but still have that roasted flavor. Some olive oil, salt, garlic and lemon juice helps!
So I order a pack of chocolate Tim tams to see what they r like or if we have anything like them in the states .expensive her for a cookie but I wanted to try them❤
Hey Laura, Thanks so much for your comment. I didn’t want anybody to worry but this is the first time I’ve had the energy to go through comments. Covid managed to get into our home after two years of avoiding it and it’s been pretty rough. I hope to post again soon but I’m taking things slowly for now.
@@bayleymadeit I came to see if I could find out why you have been absent…and found out! Sorry you and the family have been sick and I hope we see you back soon💐🙂
I’d also been wondering. Sorry you’ve had covid!!! I hope you’re all doing ok, and everyone recovers well and enjoys life getting back to normal when the time comes. Take care, and I’m sure look forward to seeing you back when the time is for you.
Watching this while I have my first coffee, before the 3 boys wake up. And I'm eating Whittaker's. Not my proudest moment but us trans-tasmans need to stick together 😜 Much love from Tassie!
Thank you! We are fine. We have all had covid and are still recovering. I’m not sure when I’ll be back on RU-vid. Brain fog was my worst symptom and I’m still feeling pretty exhausted.
@@bayleymadeit i'm sorry to hear that :( hope you and your lovely family get better soon. sending good and healing thoughts your way to brighten your day.
Hi Kate, covid finally managed to get into our household and it’s been pretty rough. The brain fog & fatigue have been the hardest thing for me. I hope to post again soon but we are taking things slowly at the moment 😊
Hi Bailey….Missing your usual posts as I’m sure others are as well. Wishing you and yours a lovely Christmas and New Year and hoping too that all is well, and you will return to us if and when you are able❤🌷🙏🏻
Hi Bayley it's been ages since I had the time to see what you've been posting and I see nothing! Just reading your comments about having Covid. That sucks you have been so crook. Hope you are feeling better soon.
