Finally, Carne Vale is used in an [S]... and it is GLORIOUS. So much death, so much villain comeuppance, so much... EVERYTHING! This is probably the closest equivalent to the Red Wedding Homestuck has.

Let's remember what happened between Jake and Jane before this, Jane screaming at him for forgetting her birthday, Jane acting crazy in trickster mode, Jane forcing him to marry him while mind controlled, and Jake being killed by Jane. And he still tried to save her.

I just went on the Homestuck webpage to see what the whole OMG the update thing on tumblr was about and let me tell you, I'm hurt that no one told me how fucking awesome the animation in this story is. I've never read a Homestuck anything, but god now I must. Those feels tho

i remember when i just passed cascade, i heard this thing called 'game over' and i heard it was sad yet awesome so i didnt want to spoil it for myself, and i just kept on hearing about it. then i saw the command 'GAME OVER' and i fucking flipped my shit. i even remember the page number clearly

Honestly, seeing Rose crying over Kanaya's death was what really got me.

I think this is the only piece of media I've been exposed to where even though characters get "do overs" and can be revived it's still nerve wrecking and it still hurts when they die.

For those wondering how, Aranea uses her (extremely well trained over billions of sweeps while dead) psychic control ability to control multiple dead troll ghosts into using their psychic powers for her, so when she's throwing planets around, she's controlling dead Solluxes and Mitunas and Damaras to make them move the planets around for her, while Her Imperial Condescension has used thousands of years and advanced Alternian technology to splice herself with DNA from other Blood groups to give herself their powers.

This better be a god damn doomed timeline. I reacted more violently to [s] Game over than I did to [s] Cascade. But holy shit great job Hussie and to those other artists he was working with.

i neither read nor like homestuck, however tumblr wouldn't shut up about it today, so i took a look at their latest update, and i saw this. do i know who is on what side? no. do i know what the sides are? no. all i know is that it's been going on for years and had a glorious-looking 5 minute animation. so congrats, it's got my interest with making me wonder what brought it to this spot.

Now imagine them all as ghosts in the dream bubbles. When they realize that all along they thought they were going to win, that all along they were the alpha timeline, destined to win the game and get out of that hell. Only to find out that all along, they've been in a doomed timeline. That no matter what they did, they were doomed only to serve a retcon timeline. That no matter what they would've tried to change, they'd never get out anyway. ... I hate this webcomic sometimes.

Gamzee is probably gonna stand up, put his halves together, and start murdering all the survivors. (And now my new favorite thing to do when I'm asked to fold paper in half I ask if they mean Eridan style or Gamzee style and watch their confusion while my friends crack up.)

I'm going to guess that this is a flash of a doomed timeline and in the alpha timeline this was a visio from one of the seers. So ether Rose and Terezi might try to prevent it. Or maybe both Seers are having this vision. ANyway YOU GOT WHAT YOU WANTED AREANA A DOOMED TIMELINE. If this is the alphatimeline thou, I guess ether another feferi will bring back some. Or they will reunite in a dream bubble and another plan is be hatched. I'm most considering this a doomed timeline because if this happened no body could have raised the cheurbs universe. This is the best, saddest, and most well made part of homestuck, hands down.

I noticed the facial animations, and the overall flash animations becoming better and more life like... :o ... AWESOME.

Thanks for the upload! I'm stuck using my phone for internet currently and I was dying to see this update!! (Spoiler alert) This update was insane though. Too many deaths of characters I really like. Regardless of if they come back or not, my reaction was still "NO. NONONONO-"

The ending of this flash actually made me feel some sort of empathy for Caliborn; that look of pure and innocent confusion at having actually encountered someone who truly hates him and being powerless to stop them. All from a mentally stunted child whose only real crime so far had been killing his sister (something he may or may not have been biologically meant to do!) and drawing some crappy fanart. I'm still hoping deep down that this version of Caliborn isn't actually Lord English and ends up being a hero. It sounds like he isn't even real God Tier and from Aranea's exposition, he was never explicitly stated to have received the boon from the "obvious" choice that Yaldabaoth presented him with.

OOF. This is still as heart- and gut-wrenching as it was the first time around, even knowing the retcanoning going on in-story.
