These pumps actually have a permanent filter inside the plastic unit, it’s recommended to back flush it if you choose to reuse it and replace just the one pump itself

Wait why don’t anyone ever show the whole process of taking the pump out ????

So, I am doing the same thing to my daughter’s 2002 2.3 Accord. Put new pump in, cranked it…it ran well for a minute then started running rough and now it will crank but not start….any suggestions or tips?

What, you did not even need to pull the tank. My 1993 will be a bear when the time comes. How many miles on the pump that you pulled?
