Great 2 stroke bikes! I only have 2 strokes. I Had a CRF250X and sold it because it was a pile of crap! I own, a 2000 YZ250, 2001 KX250, 2003 RM250, 2000 YZ125, and a 2001 YZ125. The real dirt bikes will always be the 2 stroke. I am a dirt bike mechanic and will tell you if you want the best all around dirt bike stick with the older 2 strokes. The new fangled 4 strokes will for sure "stroke your wallet!" It was the industries way of getting you back in the shop for repairs and maintenance. Don't believe the hype! the new 4 strokes are a ticking time bomb waiting to rip valuable hard earned cash from your wallet! Truth said! There was no EPA issue! The industry drummed it up!
Bill Hatcher thanks for informing me about this it really helps i'm thinking about getting a old rm 85/my first dirt bike is that a good choice do you know any others I can think about and what cc is good to have for a beginner bike? I'll be 14 at the end of the month I might get a dirt bike for Christmas, what is a good bike for me?
@@ryatri3516 Great choice, I think it would be easier for you to get an older 80 not an 85. Easier to maintain too. My first bike was an 88 yz80 I bored it to 95cc and it had some power 👌🤘

Man I love the 96, 98 Honda cr I love the yellow and red graphics when I was a teenager I wanted a250 so bad but ended up getting a 96 cr125, my buddy has a rm 125 lol but man I loved that bike I lived on an old farm and it was great I'm 35 now seems do long ago

Your house looks so nice, I know thats kinda odd but I love the open area with the nice lawns and few houses it looks nice and secluded. I live in a pretty private area with land but its very wooded I like the area you live in better with the openness.
+BRAGGING RIGHTS he means letting the engine wind down. 2 strokes need fuel to enter the crank case and resume the cycle through the motor to ensure good lubrication. No gas = No oil. Engine seizure waiting to happen. Exhaust bridges don't like getting hot. Fool.
how much maintenance is a cr 250 Ive always wanted one and now I'll probably be getting one and I'm used to 4 strokes. I know about rebuilding but my buddy said there's lots of maintenance
You can have a dt125 that will smoke 125 motocross bikes as I know as raced 1 on my cr 125 in a straight line. IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW FAR YOU WANT TO GO WITH TUNING YOUR BIKES.?.
Alright thx.. the reason I'm asking is because I own a 150 and I'm kinda disappointed with it. It makes good power and is loud but idk it's just small.
+2vintage I like them too it's just my parents don't like me having kne and my dad doesn't like the fact that they blow up a bit quicker and need more maintenance
