can't believe you made this video just after i bought two dio's! did you know that the dio's in Australia seem to have honda elite headlights and cowls, the body and frame are definitely dio thought, thanks for the vid

In the netherlands we have dj kymco y50 also with the af18 engine

Rear body panels seem almost the same except some small rear vents. Upgraded rear light on Elite is standard on the DJ.

I picked up pretty nice 1 owner 86 Spree last week, I took it for a test ride before i pulled it apart waiting for new tires to arrive. I love it so far and everything works, i'm a 125lb rider so it moves okay, I was thinking of getting one of your exhausts for it, the only problem is even though it's really nice i only have $150 in buying it, i'd be paying more for the exhaust than i did for the scooter..would it still be worth it? I'm a scooter noob.

Poor man’s dio (kymco zx50) is fairly easy to find, looks similar, similar engine setup, zx50 has bigger 12” wheels and front disc brake

I've been collecting scoots for three years and have never seen a zx50 for sale, not sure if they were sold in canada. I have managed to get my hands on a couple 3kj jogs, a piaggio typhoon, an imported 1987 tact 50 with jdm lighting, and just picked up an 86 spree with an af18 swap. My tact has an af05 with a bad crank which is why I bought the spree. The motor from the spree is going into the tact. I might try a horizontal minarelli swap into the spree. My brother has the scooter bug now and has a suzuki hyper ae50, which is a pretty cool bike too.

@@Scooterswapshop ever heard of a daelim cordi? There is one for sale in vancouver with bbk, exhaust, carb,variator, and gears for $1100 canadian. It looks like they have an af16/18 clone like the zx50.

Do you know if Honda used one of these dio/elite engines in that offroad scooter, cub ez 90? It had a 90cc two stroke engine and it was made in the early 90's.
