Encourage you to dig a little deeper on the history of the flat slide, metering rod carburetors developed and inspired by original inventor William "Red" Edmonston. He was responsible for both the original Lectron and the SmartCarb decades later, with multiple designs in between including the Ei Blue Magnum, QwikSilvers I and II, AFT HVV. In fact the Lectron wasn't even his first metering rod carburetor, but it was the first flat slide version. The SmartCarb was the culmination of many years of his life's work and we were fortunate to have worked with him in his final years and have continued its development ever since. Where it differs from the Lectron is in the use of integrated float bowl venting allowing the use of a true single circuit design (no power jets), no external vent lines, and no fuel spillage. SmartCarbs are also externally adjustable without tools whereas the Lectron requires slide removal to adjust the metering rod. You might check out the article on our site called SmartCarb vs Lectron. It explains the shared history of both fuel systems and how they differ.

@@SmartCarbFuelSystems I checked it out but something that still rubs wrong is in you’re ad, you straight up compare the smart carb having a metering rod and lectron having a needle, that’s wrong but sounds like you know that, not sure why put that in the ad, also adjusting the metering rod on a lectron should rarely even be done, never touched it on mine, 5years with it no problems in multiple high and low altitudes, but none the less William was a genius but I guess for me the only difference between the 2 that I can compare is the float bowl/non spilling on the smart carb

@@KORR805 which ad are you referring to? We have not, would not, and do not call the Lectron's metering rod a needle. If you have a chance to throw a leg over a SmartCarb equipped bike, we encourage you to do so. It really is on a different level.

@@KORR805 none of the content in this video is ours. At one point a Chaos Causes clip is used and that may be what you're referring to but we don't think Justin mentioned the word needle in reference to the Lectron, but rather conventional jet/needle carbs more generally. Either way we certainly understand the difference between a metering rod and a needle and have taken care to compare/contrast our fuel system with the Lectron in objective terms.

@@MOPBOYZ both metrakit & ddl have a exhaust that will fit your 72cc. DDL will out perform any yasuni. And the metrakit one looks somewhat the same as the arrow one you got but wont crack. And prob a rare exhaust in US.😄

Hoi. In the US we didnt get the zip. There are some bikes here with the piaggio hiper2 like the typhoon and some derbis.

Maybe, just maybe your scooter is a bit crashed. If it's the stock cylinder try upgrade it with a 70cc cylinder (there are even cheap ones for like 100€ that bring you decent power) but you need to re-jet your carb (7-10% bigger main jet should do the trick, jet numbers are on your jet, jet kits are like 10-20€) and definetly upgrade the stock cvt to a malossi multivar or a polini high speed (around 70-80€) That "vtec" kind of acceleration depends on your cylinder an exhaust setup. (Those big chambers on the 2stroke pipes need to fill with enough exhaust gases to prevent you exhaust port of pressing out unburnt fuel when the piston compresses your gas) Hope you could understand what i tried to explain :) if questions open just answer my comment bro :D your scooter should be fine once you make some adjustments or upgrade it :) it's not that hard i promise :)
