Hi Nick, thanks for this video. My original honda element key is apparently very worn and has started having issues inserting into the ignition. Honda in Seattle quoted $320 + tax. BUT they dont guarantee that it is just a key issue and not an ignition issue, which will be much more expensive and then need to rekey the locks on the doors. I'm wondering how much this push to start kit would run to have it installed at Gresham Honda? Seems like that may be the way for me to go if it is affordable relative to the ignition/rekey replacements. Thanks in advance!
Jeff from ElementDriven. In my experience, it’s the ignition switch that commonly fails and not the key being worn. The push-to-start kit is a good alternative from having you not be able to turn the key in the ignition at some point. You can contact Gresham Honda and ask to have Nick do the install.
