Our 2005 Honda Element wouldn’t start. We would out in the key and the dash lights would come on but when we went to start it, no noise at all. No crank sound, no anything.
We checked all our connections and fuses. We just out in a new starter about 5 years ago.
As a Hail Mary, we decided to clean the battery terminals and leads. There was some noticeable corrosion on the positive terminal & connector.
So I put a tablespoon of baking soda in a bottle of water and grabbed an old toothbrush.
Scrub it all. Disconnected the leads and scrubbed all that too.
Then to our complete amazement, the car started.
