Dude i have the same genny and i always keep it on the truck bed like you but one time on my rv our CO alarm went off i dont know how the carbon got inside but this was like at 4am it woke us up becareful Always have CO alarms inside rv. It saved our lives.
dannyboy9254 Yes, it worked great. We had someone about 500 yards away with a normal Generac generator up in the mountains and it would scream late into the night. Ours you could barley hear it running. This thing is very nice! CO detector is a must! Thanks for commenting.
Purchased the same Generator and Anderson Hitch this year as we purchased a fifth wheel earlier this year. Absolutely love both items and wouldn't change either. Generator is a start it and walk away machine, hassle free!
These are way over kill for rv use any more. No one needs 240 v in an rv, you can parallel 2 3500 watt generators with the new 50 amp parallel kits for half the price with remote starts.
Scott Falkner, I wanted to get one I could use for many uses if needed. Our house, multiple campers if needed, etc. Living in a pretty rural area we have been know to loose power for a day or two during bad winter storms. I also didn’t want to have to lug around two different generators. Before we purchased our camper we researched two vs one ac and everyone said do two if you can. Living in the south it can get very hot in the summer and one ac unit for a 42’ camper would not work very good. Thanks for commenting, everyone has different needs and wants. I purchased off a little of both!! 🤙🏻🇺🇸
@@tumbleweedking5668 you can run you're whole house including central ac and heat with a 240 volt generator. It does not put 240v into RV you cant do that
I just purchased one of these but I can’t find the screws to connect battery. Where are they? Did Honda forget to put it in the box? What size are the screw needed to connect battery cable to terminals? Anyone please help.
Kevin Ayers Thank you sir! It’s not bad now that I’ve figured out to use aluminum four wheeler ramps wheeling it up and down. It is heavy but worth it!!
Jon Landreth, we have the Anderson hitch so I only know how it works with it. It does ride good between the hitch and front of the bed. One tire does sit inside the square frame that sits flat on the bed. It works just fine for us when we are traveling to and from our destination. We do not have an issue with the Anderson hitch and generator even coming close. If we are not hauling our Can Am defender in the back of the toy hauler we will typically keep the generator there. Some people think it’s overkill on the generator but I don’t care at all. This generator by far has exceeded what I expected. It’s efficient, so much more quieter than anything else out there especially for its size! Thanks for commenting! 🤙🏻
Thanks you for replying I am going to be purchasing this same gen glad to know it won’t get in the way of the fifth wheel I have the same Anderson hitch also great video my trailer is a 50 amp
@@tonisam962 ??? What? how do you even respond with a comment like that about what I had said about starting it... Sometimes this social media stuff just blows my mind with what people say.
@@tonisam962 your a wack job... This guy seems plenty smart enough, to me, to know how to operate equipment. He probably knows more than you do, so your attempts at educating him are useless. Just go away. Troll
@XboobtubeX I agree with Toni Sam. Don’t be mad at him. He just wants those people in this video to be safe. You should understand that generators produce high levels of carbon monoxide. Carbon monoxide is very dangerous and generators can electrocute you. Stop being mad at Toni Sam.
Yes, absolutely. We have used our 50 amp plug with that adaptor in the video and it worked great. We ran both AC units, microwave, water heater, charged devices and I believe the most watts I ever saw the generator get up to was 5800. It's super efficient, and ridiculously quiet. It's heavy and a little bulky but for us that doesn't both us a bit. Thanks for commenting.
@@bradleyr34 i meant everyone really needs to watch this video about generator safety ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I1jT3ANENvI.html sorry. I’m not trying to force everyone to watch this. Generator safety is very important. I feel bad for people who ignore warnings. Everyone should agree with safety advices. I’m just trying to be nice by offering people to agree with generator safety. Thank you.
So which one of the dozens of different adapter should they supply with it? You have to know what you are hooking it up to and buy the appropriate adapter for your application.
What kind of madness is this, does money grow on trees where you live?Do you know how many unreliable, untrustworthy, undependable, questionable at best, garbage,POS,so much louder generators you could of bought with the good money you spent on that there Honda.I mean you could of bought at least 4 to 5 disappointing generators with that kind of moolah. You must be one of those big Texas oil tycoons to be able to afford one of them Honda's.
manbeastx69 Ha, thanks for the comment. I only wanted to get one and only one for a long time. It doesn’t grow on trees. Just getting after it out here. No oil tycoon, I wish though. I sell butterflies and my wife weaves baskets. We get by. 🙋🏻♂️
When every other generator manufacture compares their generator to a Honda then you know you made the correct choice so enjoy the fruits of your labor and I am looking forward to more videos about it.
@@manbeastx69 So why doesn't everyone buy Cadillacs instead of Fords and Chevys? Reality, man, reality. Honda and Yamaha are always on the top of the generator list in Consumer Reports and are terrific if you can afford them. A lot of folks just wouldn't have generators if they had to lay out this kind of moolah, though. Not a good idea if you live along the Atlantic or Gulf coast (I do). And so it goes...
Its funny how you left out the fact that Honda makes cars also and did not make a comparison too them or is it because they are also way better than Fords,Chevy and the Cadillac which is just a GM product all with worse reliability. If you dont have the money now then wait and save till you do but if you're not worth it then that's your fault.
@@manbeastx69 Personally, I try to buy American-made if I can, but I wasn't bad-mouthing Hondas. They're terrific, including the cars. That said, I've had GM & Ford stuff all my life and been more than satisfied. Never owned a Honda, though, or a Cadillac. Go ahead and spend your extra $ however you like, and lighten up a little willya?
