Are side bag seals available for these bikes. I just bought a 24k mile bike in excellent condition with full luggage and trunk for $200 It sat in garage for 20 years. I have a pair of 1969 honda cb750 with sequential vin numbers. Both bikes under 500 miles. They were part of an abandoned Honda dealer/shop I bought in an estate sale along with 2 haul trucks full of new parts. Badges. Decals. 1 new 750 crate motor. 2 complete sets of new in package 69,or so body work. Blue candy over flake and red set. Thinking of selling both bikes. Any idea what they are selling for. Both still have original tires and look as close to show room as they get. My back is getting to bad to enjoy riding and hate seeing these bikes sitting. Would like to see them have a deserving home and get a fair price. Any suggestion on price would be appreciated. Also be willing to sell off all the parts in 1 sale. Have a bunch of honda dealer tools. Stacks and boxes of factory repair manuals. Brochures. Owners books. You name it. Everything is not honda from early 60s to mid 70s. Far too much to catalog for 1 person.
These bikes are geared for Two up riding with luggage. The 650 has more power and is geared higher so it’s a little better on the freeway. But I’ve ridden my 500’s all over the country loaded down. So it all depends on personal choice.
@@Murphymotorsocala Yeah I thought they were big enough for two. Everyone seems to need 1800cc`s nowadays. When I was a kid a 650 was considered pretty big. I am looking for one of these two.
I don’t buy kits I stock all the parts. The K&L parts are very good. I ultrasonic clean them. I buy my O rings in bulk from NAPA they hold up to the ethanol. I use the CX500 floats and needle valves because you can adjust them. This plastic ones are junk. New air cutoff valves and I slightly go up in the mid and main jet. You replace the top spring with a piece of PCV and use 15W fork oil. No need to put air in anymore and transforms the ride and handling and eliminates bottoming out. The air fork thing was a gimmick and people always over pressured them and blow the seals out.
