Awesome video MM. I'm in 100% agreement on the part about riding with your kids. My youngest son and I ride most places together, and he did the Iron Butt from GA to Niagara Falls with me in July. He rides a Suzuki Boulevard M50 with no windshield, and I have my Goldwing. I told him I feel like I was cheating with all the comfort and rain protection I had compared to him. But it's an experience we'll never forget.

I remember a time the speed limit was 55mph..... There are a lot of great roads up in these mountains.

Hwy 28, aka moonshiner...goes thru Stecoah NC....Kickstand lodge-where I stay when I go down there...I know MO!!

We were there that weekend also. Didn’t go near the dragon this time, did Brushy mountain and Foothills.

This was awesome..............Mike I fear you will succumb to the pressure as I did and add a fun bike to the stable. Now I'll be the first to tell you the Goldwing is and can be a fun motorcycle BUT IT AIN'T NO CB! or any other short wheel base sub 500 pound motorcycle. As always great video and thanks for sharing. PS- I love my Wing, shes an incredible touring, cruiser, sport touring at times and overall hoot to ride BUT SHE AIN'T NO CB! Guess I will appreciate the WING more for commuting and local jaunts once the temperatures drop here in the northeast. Until then choice is a good thing to have. Great to see you out there with the next generation.

I got to say you live in a great part of the country! You can go north, you can go south east or west, Smokey Mountains etc. Close to Georgia, Arkansas, Tennessee is great of course. Here in downstate NY not so much. You don’t want to travel thru NYC, besides there’s nothing great south of here. Further East into Connecticut maybe, west. doesn’t get really great till you leave New Jersey, lot of congestion you know, so basically it only leaves you upstate New York or New Hampshire, Vermont? Idk. NY Mike. Hope to see you Wingding 42!

That is one route I have planned for the future. Do people still treat that route as a racetrack versus a road?
