Every hybrid will make that drone …..as they ALL have some kind of CVT (or similar) system….in reality you get used to it very quickly and will only hear it if you really cane it or go up a really steep hill. In the real world 90% of the time it’s really quiet. You are young and just like you when I was that age I was lusting after Mk1 RS Turbo’s and escort RS 2000’s …..so you probably won’t get this kind of car. When you get old and boring like me you’ll appreciate the relaxed driving style, the mpg and the practicality. It is what it is. Get some points for not droning on about “scratchy plastics” though 😀
I’m 6’3” & did a few hundred miles as a back seat passenger in a Crosstar, very comfortable for what is a tiny car, build quality & ride are excellent, only makes that awful noise when it’s thrashed. Nice review 👍👍❤️
It is a spacious car for sure, no matter what seat you're sat on. Yeah, so turn up the volume loud and the noise from the CVT goes away 😂 Thanks for the feedback!
I am sorry to say, this is the kind of cars we will be driving for the foreseeable future, not the Puma ST of your previous review. That is, if we are allowed to drive private cars at all. Am I apocalyptic? Maybe, maybe not.
Quite possibly, who knows. I mean, I can't see everyone driving around in cars that aren't thrilling in the slightest to drive. Time will tell. Thanks for letting me know your thoughts!
Sorry but you don’t have a grasp of the market at which this car is aimed. I am changing from an Audi S3 to one of these shortly. Why? Because I am now 70 and don’t need to blast round with pedal to the metal. It has as much space as my Audi for golf clubs etc and it does twice as much mpg. Kinder to the planet and my pensioners wallet! Thought about a full ev but the infrastructure in this country is nowhere near sufficient and there are too many teething problems with ev software. Not really sure your review will attract many likes, too negative!
Still to this day I don’t understand why 70 year olds buy this car, if I was their age id be buying a V8 Mustang because the insurance would cost less than £20 a month. Regardless great review Sam
You are very right with the tardis comment sam, their is a lot of useable space both in the front and back, the boot is a.good size too. I was most surprised with the economy of the jazz and jazz crosstar. Very plain looking and screams out oap special unfortunately
Mate why don’t you do some proper research to find out why only the uk and guys like you think the Jazz is an oap car in the east it’s known as a young persons car and the face when you floor it !!! It’s a cvt don’t you know about them ? A pathetic review mate
