That 14mm bolt going into rack. Damn, that was a nightmare. Mine was nice and rusty. My PB blaster couldn't touch it. After breaking my HF flare bit in half, I cut the line and used a deep socket. Some how it worked. I was able to tighten the new 14mm line from the top with a standard wrench. Each small revolution I flipped the wrench. I went back and forth like that for a while and was able to tighten it haha. Next up, spark plugs and valve cover gasket. Thanks again!

Thanks for another great how to video for Honda repair! Doing this today. I will need to reuse old rubber isolators at hold down brkts down by rack, as the Edelmann part I got doesn’t include them. Hoping the flare fitting comes off ok and new one goes in ok…

I really like the way he fix problems, very knowledgeable and to the point. I hope he could add the reason why he has to do it.

Leaking high pressure hose at the rubber next to the top connection, common issue after 150k it seems

It's that time of the year when my PS pump began whining again. I didn't fix it during last winter. Well, I just ordered a set of Dorman rings from Amazon for $7.99. I hope to install it while it's not TOO cold here in Delaware...
@MrRangerZr1
@MrRangerZr1 3 года назад
Return those dorman crap and buy OEM, trust me. It's going to be cheaper too (depending on dealership)
@NoWheelDrive

@@MrRangerZr1 I see. Let me try to gamble with Dorman first. They should deliver it tomorrow. At least I want to try to become familiar with replacing o-rings. I'm not sure if my pump is still ok after been whining for so long. That whining noise makes me feel nervous. Also I see lots of tiny bubbles in the PS tank. If weather is good I'll try to replace it tomorrow...

Doesn't look to bad brother Ranger. I'm was cleaning the bay this weekend and noticed some cracks on the hose but not a sweat of oil anywhere around. But was thinking about replacing it before it goes bad. So many horrors story in Odyclub. Per ur video looks pretty simple... using the right tools.

What were symptoms of this my steering is hard to turn real hard. I bought orings cause i figured it may be air leaking in lines
@MrRangerZr1
@MrRangerZr1 3 года назад
Just hose leaking. Hard steering may be the rack going out.

How do YOU drain the ps fluid?

I personally use a fluid extractor

Do the 3 o rings come with the own part? If not do you know part number(s) for 2005?
@MrRangerZr1
@MrRangerZr1 4 года назад
The new OEM hose does come with them I believe. The aftermarket hose did come with o-rings.

@ MrRangerZr1 Thanks for this video!! When you write "transfer switch to new hose" is it a switch or a sensor? My PS pump is currently doing some howling noise when I'm turning the steering wheel. My mechanic changed the High Pressure hose a year ago because it was leaking like crazy. I was adding PS fluid every other day. And by the time he did it pump was already doing some howling noise. When it's cold it gets worse. Actually today I had to add some PS fluid and when I opened the cap the existing PS fluid was bubbling. Last time I added fluid was like few months ago. I think my PS pump is going out. I wonder if you plan any PS Pump replacement videos?

Open diff, there are 2 o rings, a black one shown at 1:05 and 1:30 and an orange one shown at 1:35. Also, top off ps fluid. Easy fix!
@NoWheelDrive
@NoWheelDrive 4 года назад
@@velox731 I'm sorry but I didn't get it. Please could you rephrase it? Does it concern replacing PS pump itself or something else? Thanks!
@velox731
@velox731 4 года назад
@@NoWheelDrive just 2 o rings need to be replaced. There is an orange one and a black o ring. Make sure you buy genuine honda parts and power steering fluid.
@NoWheelDrive

@@velox731 Thanks! Do you think that wining sound when I'm turning the wheel may happen just because o-rings?
@velox731
@velox731 4 года назад
@@NoWheelDrive Definitely worth a try, for about 10 dollars, this may work. You mentioned bubbling in the reservoir, that is air entering the system.
