I own a 2013 HRX217, I love it. few years ago in summer my neighbor Linda was mowing and I happen to be near, I could tell mower was low on oil, I went to her and said shut it off.. she asked why. I said no oil, can't you hear it. she said no, so I showed her how to check oil, it was empty.. so she had her sick husband put oil in it and that was that. Now advance 2 years and he has since passed at age 64.5 from brain cancer. I asked Linda last month if I could work on her mower since I knew it was neglected and it needed work, she said sure. So I took mower which it is a HRR216 purchased around 2013 or 2014. I changed the oil which had some glitter to it, I expected that because of 2 years ago.. I installed a new spark plug and new blades, and 4 new wheels.. a new air filter, cleaned the carb, put in fresh gasoline with some carb cleaner, washed the mower good after cleaning all the grass build up underneath it. now it fires up and runs great, it cost her in parts only 130.00, my labor was free.
You are 100% correct, but there are still some new ones left. I has at Home Depot yesterday and they had a few left. There are actually people out there buying them up and stockpiling them. I think Tom will be kept busy in the years to come keeping them going!!!! @@PRO4XKEV
Toooom Doooobyyyy!! Good Lord, Tom! What swamp did you dredge that mower out of? What a mess! but it looks great and runs like a top thanks to your expertise. 👊💥BOOM! Have a great day! God bless.
I got a Honda hrr216 I picked up from an estate sale. They were going to throw it out as it didn’t work. It had been sitting under a deck for god knows how long. Missing an air filter and box cover. It will not run on starting fluid. That’s when I put it aside to work in a few other things I had. Now I may come back to it. On the project pile Honda hrr216 Toro personal pace with blade clutch. , loooses compression when hot STHIL km91r.

People are very broke now and I’m shocked at some of the stuff they bring to the shop for repairs and they even pay 😊😊😊 Last year they would not pick them up but now they can’t wait to get them back 😢😢😢
