Thank you very much for the video. My 2004 Honda Shadow Arrow needed a new front tire badly, since my local Harbor Freight was out of ATV/Motorcycle lifts, I had my local Powersports dealer replace my front tire, they said I needed new breaks (1 was @ 50% & 1 was @ 25%). I am waiting for my new pads to come in, they are supposed to be here in a few days. I can put them on myself & save the labor fee. If I had had a lift the cost savings of replacing the front tire would have paid for the $100 lift!
Happy to Help, Any questions just ask. Take a look at this video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oPZn2DaxF_0.html. Thank you for watching and your sub Tom. Let us know how this works out. Ride Safe and have a great day.

Im replacing the front brake pads on my 06 honda 750 shadow aero. When removing the original pads there was a thin, flat clip that's just over an inch big. Is that necessary to reinstall it or not? Reason for asking is on replacement pads that clip is not provided and no one mentions it on the vids. Please, your assisrance would be appreciated. Thank you.
Happy to help. That's an anti-vibration pad, if you can get it in there get it in there. Lots of time you don't have the room to reinstall. unless you buy OEM stock pads. Not necessary. I like to use them. Let us know how it works out thank you for watching and your sub marv ride safe and have a great day.
Happy to help. No, you do not have to bleed the brakes when you're just replacing the pads. Do not open brake lines, collapse The piston in the caliper a 100% and the job is easy. Let us know how it works out. Thank you for watching, and all your support the daydreamer. Ride safe and have a great day.
Happy to help take a screwdriver and slowly open it if it's been sitting for years, maybe for a little penetrating oil, but do not cut the piston angle because that will jam it. If all fails, Crack the bleeder valve and try to expand those brake caliper pistons. Hope this helps. Thank you for all your support. Ride safe and have a great day.
Happy all went well. Any questions just ask. Thank you for watching and all your support. Oliver. Write safe and have a great day. Honda shadows are great motorcycles.
Happy to help. Yes it's the same set up on your Sabor 1100. Thank you for watching and all your support f Frag Head. Let us know how it works out. Ride safe and have a great day.
@@fraghead9813 My pleasure. Just make sure you collapse the piston on your calipers all the way. You should have no problem. Ride safe. Have a great day.
Happy to help. If your brakes worked prior to the pads they will work better with the new pads. You do not have to bleed the brakes just don't open up brake lines. Thank you for watching and your sob Ben. Let us know how it works out. Ride safe and have a great day.
@@TwoWheelRocco thanks man. Cant believe u replied. Hope all is well. If my pads still look thick enough but squeeks. U think i just have to spray brake cleen?

This is similar to your set up I believe. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eA85nyjdeU8.html. Hope this helps. Honda Spirits I think are chain driven. Let us know how this works out.
Yes it would, if somebody added fluid into that master. Usually the pads were out and take up that space so when you push it back. They returns to normal. But it's a good practice to take a look, I should've added that. Thank you for watching and your sub Paul. Ride safe and have a great day. That's not how it works out. Great comment.
2:45 i cannot for the life of me get the brake pad to fit back in here. Not sure why, it just doesn't fit back in a way that lines up with the screwhole. Cant see any sort of slot when i look in either, mostly because it's hard to see at this angle.
Remember, you could always remove the caliper and work it like that it's a little more time but if sometimes if you can't get those pistons to completely compress, you will have problems with the new pads. Remove caliper and go out that way. Let us know how it works out patience you'll get it.
@@TwoWheelRocco I actually managed to finally get in there, turned out I was just continuously missing the slot to get it in on the upper side. The particular model I have is shaped slightly different than the one in video. Did plenty of tests before riding to make sure the brakes were in fact functioning properly and nothing was loose.
Happy to help. Yes it is the same set up. Thank you for watching all your support Darwin. Drive safe and have a great day. Let us know how it works out.
Sorry to hear that. If you have any questions just ask. Just make sure the Pistons in the caliper are 100% compressed. so that you have room for the new Brake Pads. Thank you for watching and I hope that helps. Ride safe and have a great day.
Thanks yeah this was my first time doing it so it was much easier to just remove the assembly so I can see what’s going on on the inside. This would be good for the second or third time down the road now I know what it looks like on the inside
