2004 Honda Shadow Spirit 1100 supposed top speed. Got her up to 110 another day, but in this video I'm going up a slight hill. Also found out that my fuel hose has dry rot and is leaking a bit.
Update// Hey there, it's SamX. Just thought I should update my videos on the current status of the bike. It's been gone for a while now, I sold it and bought a city/sportsbike. I didn't do it out of spite or anything on a bandwagon against cruiser bikes. It was falling apart, I got tired of fixing it, so I bought a new bike. Also I had a bike trip I was planning on doing and I now I know from taking the trip that Jammer, my beloved spirit 1100, would not of made it. Still to this day I miss my first bike but I'm currently very happy with my new bike. Which is a 2009 Kawasaki ER6-N. May or may not see a video in the up coming months due to my new job and it being in storage.

Dunx He didn't stall it. He put it in gear with the kickstand down. It triggers a kill switch when you do that.

Did you find out what the issue was? My shadow would die sometimes too if I blip the throttle at idle.

How baffles have been removed their ins three in each pipe on the stock exhaust i think ive only got one removed out of each

Thank for testing. I guess I can assume my 2001 Honda shadow aero 1100's top speed should be around 110 too. :)

They gear different shadows different, some to compensate for load etc. Almost like an experiment. I'm leaning toward a kawasaki vulcan, my brother has one and loves it. But will be keeping my 2000 shadow spirit vt100c to make nicer, and for sentimental reasons.

I made 105 mph on my '04 Spirit...did that one time. I run around 70 to 75 on the Interstate most times with plenty of throttle left for maneuvers.

Dumb question....you didn't have stock pipes but were they jetted for the bike. I had a power loss and some backfire til I got mine jetted properly.

Hey, these bikes have a reserve, right. My 2004 does. My 1985 didn't, but it had a factory gas gauge, and didn't need a reserve switch.

Your 85 didn't have a selectable reserve, once you run out it's out. I own an 86 that's the same way.

What bars are those? And are you using risers? Just got my first cruiser, a 07 Shadow Spirit 1100. Had some retardedly angled bars on them that are uncomfortable as hell. And do you know of anything about moving the foot controls and pegs back a little bit?

They are Roadburner 2.5 inch Street Pros. Very loud in person and when i "had" the bike i would often put ear plugs/headphones in if i rode for more the 3 hours. Still they are a pretty cool set.

Some of these come with rev limiter wich prevent you from reaching the bikes full potential

I had a 94 shadow 1100 stock except pipes put on and it was a 4speed was clocked on gun at 128mph by a cop so not sure what's wrong with y'all's bikes but something is very wrong lol and I had more to go also just saying

You will find your speedometer is off by about 4 MPH, so the actual speed is a lot less than you see on your speedometer. Use a GPS and you'll see. I finally got my running spot on by changing the rear tire to a larger one.

If you had the stock pipes on it you would be able to go at least 120 they're not having an enough back pressure with those pipes

It was falling apart and I had to do a huge road trip at short notice. Wish I still had it.

Everything. Motor just needed top end gaskets but the electronic were put together with crimps you would find in housing electronics. Front brake bolt were striped. The issues just keep going and I didn't trust it on a 1k plus mile road trip.

Indicated was about 110 but i understand that my speedo could be measuring incorrectly, but I do want to mention the bike isn't stock.

110mph is fast enough! Who needs to go faster your only putting yourself and possibly others in danger going that speed but that's your choice just be safe.
