I was scared this game would be a Mass Effect 2 situation and if I didn't do every support character's missions I'd get a bad ending. I breezed through the last battle and still got a gut punch of an ending :(

You can almost max out your swords before the middle of act 2. You’re just missing the last few gold pieces for the final tiers of both swords, which you can’t access till act 3 or something crazy like that!

@@keiichimorisato98 Yeah it's a revenge story that's actually satisfying. And gets the "revenge is bad" message across far better than other games I could mention. You actually have both in this game, Masako's story is just straight revenge, with no negative repercussions except sadness at all that had been lost (and LGBT representation btw, with no preachiness.) But with Noorio it feels like something good and pure was sacrificed. If Jin is Batman, it felt to me like Noorio was becoming a Batman villain

I read that supposedly the guiding wind is the spirit of Jin's father, Kazumasa. And that the yellow bird is supposed to be the spirit of Jin's mother, but it's never really mentioned in the game *edit* Just saw that Yuriko mentions it to Jin when he's younger and everyone comes to the Sakai Estate to mourn Kazumasa.

@@djp8787 greater detail does not make a game look better. Better artistic vision and aesthetics do. Tlou 2 was better in technical, graphical fidelity. But GoT looks better due to better artistic direction.

Animekirk That is true, the best graphic doesnt make a game looks good. It may be photo realistic, but color, lighting, contrast and shadow can drag it all down to a dull, uninspiring mess. A game can looks so different and much more beautiful even if we only adjust these 4 things.

The most important thing to a samurai is confrontation. You face the enemy head on even if you are shooting from far away because it's a way to show respect to their courage of entering battlefield.

I try not to think about it too much. The game takes a very romantacized approach to Samurai honor. If it were more realistic, there'd be WAY more head mounting by the Japanese.

Didn't have a reason to care about most of the side characters, they were killed off too quick, and I didn't see any reason at all to sympathise with Abby, one of the two MC's, yet the game's ending forced me to. Overall, I didn't enjoy the game at all, while some of Ghost of Tsushima's side stories, like Lady Masako's, and Norio's, hit way harder, and drove the whole revenge is bad plot home better.

@@aftermax01 Valhalla has one shot assassinations, social stealth and the assassination confession things are back. Play that, it is an Assassin's Creed in a big way, even though you are not an assassin. I think this game is more like Ghost of Tsushima. They also took out equipment levels, fool.

4:25 I agree 100 percent with that statement. I'm not rescuing Shimura until I liberate all of Izuhara, and I've already reached the point where combat becomes a breeze. Hope to see some more difficult challenges when I reach the other two districts!

I do enjoy seeing these HGT every now and then but I haven't seen these pop up in my rec feed for a while, but gotta say, I'm really glad this one appeared. Ghost of Tsushima is truly a fantastic game that you have just given the best Honest (and as always, so gloriously funny) Game Trailer (and IMO, one that Sony and SP should've run in it's ad campaign :)) Bravo, sir you have outdone yourself and thank you for making me laugh and putting a smile on my face after a really shitty day. 10/10 I think I'll go replay this Masterpiece now, and add to favs and re-watch later.

The only thing it lacked was an ability to choose not to kill by stealth. In the key moments when it made you do this, there were alternative ways around it that no character ever thought about before saying, "gotta do what you gotta do" Taking on the whole camp without using any ghost weapons was fun, although it did take some running away to keep from being too surrounded at times.

That thing about OCD lmaooo I'm not even half on chapter 2 and I feel invincible already with all 4 stances, all Ghost weapons unlocked AND maxed and with the Sword at 6/7 upgrades.
