I personally prefer "Want You Gone" to "Still Alive" as far as a song to actually listen to, but you have to admit that he wasn't wrong when he said that "Still Alive" is the more memorable one.
I actually make portal 2 steam workshop maps that use only new models and textures and make every map basically a new game nothing related to portal. Can you do an honest game trailer of my favorite "Lost in portal city"?
Not sure if Portal 2 did it first but it made me really appreciate color coded subtitles. Idk why some games released in this decade still don't have it.
I think that most of the COD games have had it to some degree but not to the extent of portal. That would be super cool to see in other games definitely
@@threemooseqateers9689 Blue/Green is ally, yellow is neutral, red is enemy. Shephard's name actually changes from yellow to red once his betrayal is confirmed.
Sadly that sort of thing is likely a late stage polish sort of task. These days devs are pushed into shipping out half finished products, with huge patches already on day one, that they never even get to the polishing stage.
This is such an amazing game. The humor, characters, and intricate puzzles are all so much fun, and far more engaging than the first game. It's perhaps the best game of all time, made by Valve at least.
I got a friend of mine to play it for the first time ever with me in co-op. i immediately sent this to them and told them to watch the co-op segment, lol
Honest Trailers: Surprise! We're doing it now! I actually had to do a double-take because I was so surprised you haven't done this before now. Portal 2 is one of my favorite games ever and I'm thrilled to see you doing it now!
This is incredibly well timed. Yesterday I was banned from Facebook for (in a conversation about this game) quoting Cave Johnson. Yep. The system thinks I was threatening arson.
Ah, gotta love FB's moderation. They won't take down actual scammers, but if you make a joke, you'll get banned. They banned a guy I know for making a comment on a post in a group that he himself runs that referred to a point-of-sale system by the common acronym used for point-of-sale systems.
It is pretty funny that Chel appears to have somehow DE-AGED between Portal 1 & 2. The trailer for Portal 2 with her in it makes her look really cool too. Cooler than the player actually trying to do the puzzles. 😑
He was. He was so good at it that he somehow talked mid-20th-century american government into giving him a contract to develop portal technology while having a company that previously made _shower curtains._
I love love love the two Portal games. I especially love that if you play two player in Portal 2 it's a completely different game from the one player mode. Please give us Portal 3 already Valve!
That riff on Elon was spot on! Portal is still my favorite game of all time, but Portal 2 did an excellent job of following up on it. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
10/10 for using that vid clip from Garth Marenghi Darkplace. The best 80s tv parody/horror/comedy/hospital show ever made that hardly anyone watched. You're going to have to do an honest trailer for it to show it to the world!
It's one thing making an honest game trailer of a well-known game but it takes skill to make an honest game trailer of an obscure game like no straight roads
“If you like Metroidvanias but think most are too straightforwardly laid out and don’t have enough backtracking or hidden endings, and you like Soulslikes because dying to the same boss 300x is fun for you, then have we got the game for you…”
portal 2's first play throw was seriously one of the best play throws of all time! I seriously yelled "NO glados!"when i got to the end. Then few moments later i went: "oh glados..."
Don't forget how Cave Johnson is the Karen of all Karens since he demands to see not just any old manager, but LIFE'S MANAGER. It'd be more appropriate to call him Karen Johnson.
For Portal 3 all they would need to do is make a Super Mario Maker but for Portal and set the fans loose on it. You guys would make some excellent content given the opportunity
Portal 2's community workshop on Steam has actually had a super dedicated community throughout the years! Hundreds of people have basically been make entire games over there for a decade, along with thousands of normal chambers. I suggest you check it out!
I STILL remember all the people trashing Stephen Merchant after he was cast because they liked the voice of the Valve Employee. Merchant was a perfect fit.
I played the Co-Op with my dad - he wasn't the dumb one, just slightly game-illiterate. …but yes, I did end up talking him through most of the puzzles.
I’m still not quite sure but, canonically speaking, how much time has passed between the events of portal 1 and two, because I know it’s been a long time, but it seems strange to me that a facility as large as Aperture, even with the events of the Half Life games would go completely untouched for thousands of years
The number 50000 has been thrown around, but in terms of how it is designed, 50 at best, if we consider the state of the Aperture Science Innovators section, with the recordings still mostly intact.
I have fond memories of Portal 2. One of the first cross-platform games between the PS3 and PC, and the day it launched, is the day the 2011 PSN outage happened. I couldn't play Black Ops so I spent an entire month running through this game. And it was the single best gaming experience I've probably ever had
All the brain damage jokes originally were supposed to lead to Chell using a voice command to defeat Wheatley but the scene was put together a little confusingly so they scraped that. She just chose not to talk to the AIs basically out of distain for them.
Let justice prevail and make a few trailers about the OG strategy games - grand strategy. You’ve referenced them in two trailers so far - RDR2 and Cid Meir’s Civilization. My suggestions are: Europa Universalis 4, Hearts of Iron 4 and Crusader Kings 2/3
I mean it's no Alan Wake honest trailer, but Portal 2 is an amazing game, so I'll allow it. Maybe an Alan Wake honest trailer next week, especially since it's free on PS Plus, so itd be a good time, no? Cya next week.
I want to hear Goku's speech to Freiza in your epic voice; ""I am the hope of the universe. I am the answer to all living things that cry out for peace. I am the protector of the innocent. I am the light in the darkness. I am truth. ALLY TO GOOD, NIGHTMARE TO YOU!"
