I would actually relativise the issue with the wide feet. While it's true that the sole is narrower than the upper part, it is also true that the toe box is rather square, rather wide. I also had to size down half a size, and to me it seemed that that was partly because of the toe box being so roomy that it comfortably fit my toes so that I did not need to size up for that purpose. In sum, the sole is a bit narrow, but there is plenty of room for the toes, making this an extremely comfortable shoe in my opinion.

They look great. I have the desert boot (same brand and sole material) and 12 years later i still wear but only for yard work.

@@Fodaydontplay I'm surprised noone tried to sell you some at the cashier 😂. They try to upsell me Every single time In every single Clark's store haha. I currently own maybe 10 pairs. Also you can use the spray on these too. Just clean these up give it a coat.. Wait 30 minus and give it a second coat and you're good to go. Not expensive either

These were all the rage in the 70's, one thing I found back then was the sole would simply break in half, no warning, they would simply break and your foot would pop out. Very embarrassing on a date.

@@Fodaydontplay I curios if others have found this to be true, I was at a garage sale and someone was selling Clark shoes, they look very nice and barely worn, yeap the sole broke in half and my foot popped out, this only happen with one other company, it was some work boots everyone was raving about, I have worn Red Wings for 25 years, the other brand broke in half as well. So cheap means broke.
