Let me get it straight. Russia try to negotiate for 8 fking years. Manages to agree to the Minsk 1 and 2 agreements. That Ukraine after signing said that it was not in its interest of respecting because it is basically a capitulation (AFTER SIGNING) ... TWICE! Despite this Russia still tries to negotiate. Even when the war started Russia literally made and signed a deal with Ukraine. Until Boris Johnson came and Ukraine once again decided to completely ignore the document even though it has signed it. But Russia is the one who is not a country to negotiate with ?? 🤔🤔🤔

The irony of that one girl saying "they showed their attitude" in negotiations is nothing short of hilarious. It was the Ukrainians that didn't want to negotiate. Listen to those answers with several important facts in mind. 1. All opposition parties were banned in Ukraine after being blamed of being pro Russian with many opposition figures jailed 2. Only state controlled TVs are functioning in Ukraine at the moment, all other were canceled 3. Elections in Ukraine were cancelled 4. Ukrainian borders are closed for men aged 18 to 60, you can get shot if you try to escape abroad 5. There is forced mobilization going on in Ukraine at the moment, when anybody can be collected from his house or from a street and shipped to AFU and then to the frontlines 6. Any peace negotiations with current Russian government are prohibited by Zelensky's presidential decree 7. People who support peace negotiations are blamed for being pro Russian ( as was the case with the Pope recently ) and in many cases persecuted in Ukraine. 8. If you draw any unnecessary attention, you, or your close family members can be forcefully recruited and sent to the frontline. Would you feel free to express your honest opinion on camera if you were a Ukrainian?

The girl who said we should not negotiate because it is useless or that there is noone to talk with but then had no idea how to end the war clearly hadn't thought anything through logically. If you aren't going to negotiate, then you will have to win the war unconditionally and how is ukraine going to do that, especially when Russia clearly has the upper hand and Ukraine is suffering terribly and hasn't the manpower or the means to win? Ukrainians need a reality check. It was a bad idea to p*ss off Russia by wanting to join an anti Russian alliance against Russia or to expect to keep their Russian speaking areas of ukraine when the government of Ukraine after the revolution of 2014 was clearly very anti Russian speaking ukrainians and anti Russian! Remember Ukraine was a peaceful country and Russian speaking and Ukrainian speaking Ukrainians got on well together. All that changed with the anti russian, pro western 2014 revolution that put Ukraine on the road to utter destruction! If a country has an overbearing larger neighbour like the US or Russia, if doesn't pay to p*ss them off. Most countries know that instinctively but ukraine is a new country with little history and a population that had statehood suddenly thrust upon them with borders that did not reflect a uniform national identity. The only way such countries can work is by not having divisive revolutions like the 2014 revolution and by pursuing a path that is either aligned with their larger neighbour or by adopting a policy of neutrality. Ukraine chose neither path and that is their ruin.

Only person here that had sense of reality was the soldier. He lost 2 brothers but I didn't feel hate in him, just dissapointment for all misery that happened to poor Ukraine. People who just want to live a life and not be used as political tools: - I think negotiations can be important and we probably should think about it to avoid further bloodshed. This can be risky but it can work. Priviledged people who think they are smart and also love attention: - No negotioations! We will fight as much as we can! (In many cases actually meaning, "I don't have to fight personally so I don't care about the people sent to be killed but I am ready to say "bold" words of support").

The last 2 negotiations weren't honored by the Ukrainian side. The minsk was used to "buy time" and the negotiation at the start of the 2022 was dismissed with the "to the last Ukrainian". IDK if russia is willing, trusting or in a place of pressure to accept any negotiation.

How did the Second World War end? Russia and Germany sat down at the negotiating table. Germany signed the capitulation. Russia and Germany have maintained economic, tourist and other relations for many years. People in Ukraine live in a parallel universe if they think that there is no point in negotiating.

Those saying that they can't negotiate with Russia don't seem to be aware of the Istanbul peace initiative that took place on March/April of 2022. During those talks, Russia was willing to pull out of all Ukrainian lands, except Crimea. Donbas was to be made an Autonomous Region. Russia didn't even want to annex Donbas. In return, Russia wanted NATO-neutrality for Ukraine, which is a legitimate security concern for them. For decades, world leaders have emphasized the importance of keeping Ukraine neutral -- as a buffer between NATO and Russia. However, that does not seem to be in NATO's interest. No matter how much we in the West say NATO is a "defensive" alliance, those "defensive" missiles aimed at Russia can turn "offensive" real quick and for any reason, hence posing an existential threat to Russia. This is a basic concept of international relations. A simple acknowledgement of Russia's concerns from NATO would've prevented the entire conflict. As for Crimea, Russia will not give it up because they voted to join Russia. US-backed polling confirmed the people's sentiment on this matter prior to the referendum. Since, Ukraine has been threatening to "take back" Crimea which would be a direct assault on Russia. All that being said, people saying that a peace deal will only stop Russia from attacking in another 5-10 years... it's 5-10 years of peace not worth it? In those 5-10 years a lot can happen. Perhaps there is a revolution in Russia or Putin dies... Giving peace a chance is always the best alternative. It could also give Ukraine time to recover and redefine it's goals for long term peace. Ultimately, Ukraine's problems come from NATO's aggressive expansion -- with first mentioning a path to membership for Ukraine as far back as 2008 -- and the US State Department turning the country into a Western bulwark against Russia. If you pin a country against another, you're going to create problems. Russia's invasion is seen as a "pre-emptive strike" against Ukraine for its threatening posturing against Russia. I find America too is being highly irresponsible and reckless on the matter. Not only as we use Ukraine as pawns for NATO interests, but we are risking nuclear exchange -- the end of civilization -- over ideology. America should instead be the voice of reason, look for ways to de-escalate, negotiate a peace deal to finally restore peace to the area.

Sorry female at 0:24 Russia has offered to end hostilities at least 3 times since the war started but Zelensky and the Ukraine is indebted to the West too much to agree to stop the war. The one who escaped Donetsk will never return there since the Ukraine likely will never take it back. The one who is returning to the front I feel so sad for him resigning to his fate. Here is the dilemma, for both sides, the longer the conflict lasts the more territory the Ukraine has to retake or defend or the more territory Russia will annex for security reasons.
