I think people tend to forget that she's a member of SNSD. She's an excellent dancer, and she still is. That's how she started. Just because she focuses on her vocals these days doesn't mean she's lost it.

😶 Taeyeon is the leader of the Blue Print of All the Girl Groups in Korea which is Girls' Generation. Yes, she danced this version live.

Taeyeon joined SM in 2004, debuted with SNSD in 2007. SNSD is known for many, many things, including their various complex choreographies, and Taeyeon has been one of the very top K-Pop vocalists from the start. SNSD has 120 (+? while TTS ( Taeyeon, Tiffany, Seohyun) has 18 songs, so not including her 4 albums of solo work, she probably has done 60 or more dance routines, and hundreds of performances over 14 years. So yeah, she can dance---and deliver top-tier vocals while doing it.

You can find clips of “why” performance where she danced , Taeyeon is originally in idol group SNSD so she has dancing down it’s not for concept purpose only 😂 she also has choreography for other songs

As I remembered, she performed this song on stage just once or twice only and she did the same choreography. But for a live stage she didn’t do the dance with male backup dancer.

“Why” is one of my favorite eras of her visually, and I love the original MV as its own thing, but dance version made me appreciate the song more. The original video is a tad too chill, I feel. Taeyeon does a slightly adjusted version of the choreo for her lives, where she dances the pair part solo. Her ‘S Concert performance is her best live for the song, imho.

Thank you for your reaction 💗 Yes, She performed this song in Music Show Korea but only 3 days. Honestly I am really shock back then why SM only promote her with a really short time. I really love this song and her performance too 😢 But maybe SM have their own reason, I don't know. She was performed the same like the Dance video, except a part when she dance with the boy.
