That pellet grill checks all the boxes and has tremendous cooking capability. The price seems good for the amount of features is has. Thanks for the review.
Bought last Friday for 469.99. Arrived a couple hours ago. Doing my first burn in right now using Bear Mountain Bourbon BBQ. Did a lot of research and at this price point it's hard to beat. Used a recteq rt 1250 on my birthday retreat few weeks ago and have been researching non stop since. Thanks for the video. About to smoke some fatty chicken thighs to help season this thing after burn in. Great work bud
GR8 looking brisket Tom.. i always enjoy ur videos.. ur energy and humor get me goin. That part when u say. Be back in a snap..snap. Snap SNAP!!.. hehe reminds me of tryin to light my furnace. Lol.. these pellet grills come a long way. Is there a way to add wood for a more smoak taste or what's ur take on the smoak flavor on this unit?. Anywhaaay thanks for another GR8 vid
Thanks for watching Peter! Glad you enjoy the videos… pellet smokers have light to medium smoke profile. There are many after market devices to add more smoke
Hey Tom. Great video as always. Just ordered mine and I ordered some of the Smokin Pecan Pellets. Curious to know if there are any mods in the future like a front shelf???
It looks like the Sam’s members Mark pellet Grill that I had. The pellet clean out is the same, the grease tray is the same, the bread box style is the same. It worked really well until the PID stopped working, and they wanted me to pay in advance for it so they could order it and get it to me six months from now. I just returned it and got my money back. The company that makes the Sam one is a Canada company made in ChinaThe three racks are the same size and I took out the top rack and put it in the garage because I only use the middle rack or the bottom rack or both. The Sam’s grill also came with the felt stripping to seal when the lid closes.
Nice job on that brisket Tom. I thought it would take much longer to get to probe tender. If there's one question that is frustrating, it's the dreaded "When is it going to be done?"
Thanks for the video Tom. I’ve been looking at the 11002b and ready to pull the trigger. I know you’ve reviewed the little brother 7052b. How does those compare to this model? I know it’s cheaper, but that 1102b seems rock solid. Anything I’m missing? Thanks again.
Thanks Mike! Different controllers the new one has an outstanding new PID works very well. If you do purchase please use my purchasing link in the video description. Thanks
Awesome video 🙌🏼 Question. The smokers u don’t use anymore for your videos do u sell them , throw them out or give them away ? I’d be more than thankful to receive one lol
Hey Tom. Is the drip tray reinforced underneath to keep it from warping due to heat? Seen many issues over the years with pellet grill drip tray warping. Let me know. Thank you sir!!
Thanks for watching Mark! Time will tell, the heat diffuser is reinforced to prevent warping. The grease tray is a thicker gauge, so in my opinion it should be fine, after the burn in and first 6.5 hour cook it’s just fine. Good question though
Nice grill! The interior, other than the shape looks like an updated version of my 2006 Traeger BBQ070 Lil Tex. Do you think the Z Grills are better than Pit Boss? Or better yet how do you rank all the pellet grills you have now or in the past?
Thanks for watching Stephen! Comparisons aren’t always apples to apples. One I’ve always liked about z-Grills is that you get allot grill for the money especially with this one and the new pid controller. Nothing wrong with pitboss or treager either
Did you have any issues with the gasket getting burned off during the burn in process? Saw another youtube review saying that the front of the gasket where the handle is burnt off and they had a grease leak somewhere that was on one of the legs
