Wow! That vac looks amazing!!!! The 4K definitely looks good on my xxxl TV! Awesome. Would be great to see a full house clean with it. It definitely is now a Hoover Thunder 😂😁
I like the 4K. The wide shot didn’t seem too different, but your closeup of the brush roll was much more detailed. I also got to see the wind down very well whereas it was hard to make out (for me) in your previous video. Great video as always, and I’m digging the 4K!
Hoover frequently changed how stiff their brush inserts are. The ones of the 60s as well as those replacements were stiffer than those used in the 1970s, until they went to a Red color. Those, alongside the 1980's which were orange, were the stiffest. The white ones I can order now are as stiff as the red ones. Other tho :-) factored in are the curve of the brush, helix and reverse helix. I'll have to make a video about that.
Is it still possible to order soft brush replacement strips? Also is it possible to order soft bristle strips for Sanitaire and Eureka VibraGroomer II and III brushrolls as they are available on Riccar machines and I suspect that the rollers are made by the same manufacturer. It's obvious that the Australian Wertheim still utilizes the old Eureka design too. I've tried to look into it and haven't been able to find the name of the manufacturer.
Bruce Solomon I might have some of the soft brush inserts laying around, but I would have to check. As for the Eureka/Sanitaire machines, I would have to check with my parts supplier. I know Tacony does offer the soft brush inserts for their machines still.
Bruce Solomon for which company? Tacony makes their own. Hoover made their own up to about the last few years, now they and Kirby use CWP. Eureka still makes their own as well.
I have a suspicion that Riccar and Simplicity use the same supplier as Sanitaire uses for its VibraGroomers and I think that Whertheim of Australia uses the same as well. If I knew who the supplier was I could find out if different bristle options are available for some old Eurekas that I have. I have wool rugs and need to use only soft bristles.
The color was wonderful and the focus was very crisp! Love that machine. One of my favorite Convertibles my other favorite convertible is a '67 Corvette in Arctic Blue with white seats.
That was a nice upgrade. Treasure that one. Do you have problems with belt stretch on the Hoover. I remove my Sanitaire belts after use (from the belt spindle at least) and they last a long time. Those round section profile belts! What were they thinking? (Actually, it's great if you want to sell a lot of belts). Was that 4K 15fps? I can shoot at that res also, but the frame rate is too low and choppy so 1080/30 or 60 is the best for me. Enjoyed it irregardless.
Joe Wheeler well that settles it. My choppy 4K and no 1080/60fps option has prompted me to buy an LG V20 just now. Stay tuned for much better looking videos! And as far as the belt is concerned, Andy R. sent me some commercial grade ones. Forget the part number at the moment...
Your vid looks great--good purchase. Btw, have you thought about getting the matching Hoover shampooer to go along with your U4007? There's one on eBay now--a model 5308 "Deluxe Rug Shampooer". I'm not the seller or a friend/acquaintance of her/him; just thought I'd pose the idea.I like to get complete floorcare sets in matching colors.
I currently have 5 Kirby shampooers, one water extractor and one steam mop. What I'm really looking for is a cheap Rainbow E2 2-speed, Shark 5XX series (or newer), Miele C3 and a Lux Guardian Platinum. And I mean really cheap...
I was just thinking in terms of matching color sets--not variety. Also, it's harder to get the vintage Hoover ones, because unlike Kirby & others it had a limited run of shampooer & polisher colors to keep its color spectrum flowing. As for your wish list, patience typically pays off when looking for deals. Regards.
I have a similar Hoover, but the brush strips are red. I wonder if there is any difference in terms of stiffness between these brush strips and my Hoover’s red brush strips.
