Hoover vacuum making loud noise

Trouble shoot a Hoover Wind tunnel vacuum that's making a rattling noise from roller, replaced roller, problem solved. ( I did find other hoover vids that were good but nothing for my specific issue )

A few days ago the only knowledge I had of this vacuum was how to vacuum. RU-vid vids helped take it apart but I was not aware it had bearings. Thanks for the informative vid. This has got ti the problem.

Ran over a pair of earbuds in the home office and this started - now have it torn apart, pulled roller and sound ceased - found your vid problem bearings in roller huh makes sense - issue resolved without tearing further into product, thank you - roller purchase it is then, much appreciated

I just bought a hoover H-free100 just 1h ago. I assume it is a recent model, but since i live on an Island in the middle of the Atlantic... It might be an old model LOL as soon as o tried it it started rattling.... Just like yours! Thanks for the help

Take the plastic covers off the bearings and clean put them back on and reinstall it will run like new.

its the brushroll. Check the bearing and for play in the brush

I have a different hoover 🙄 i will look underneath it....but the pipe is vibrating so i guess new filters they are a year old now😂🙈 and i have birds, rats and a dog 😂

Can the roller be rebuilt? Here in Canada, shipping is 20 and roller 25 USD. 45 USD hard to justify for resale at 100. Surely it can be rebuilt!

Took the roller apart and feels like the bearings were not made right - wiggle a bit.

I'm not sure about the rebuild, I think when I was looking into it (as far as parts) just bearings wasn't an option...I understand, cost of everything these days is crazy...good luck

@@GetToThePointplz123 Aliepxress tends to have little things like bearings. There are also industrial shops that supply many types of bearings (ex. Aklands Gainer) . Just need to measure out the bearings

@@HR-uf9sj I bought replacement bearings. Becareful removing the bearing covers as they are weak. I broke both, but was able to put it back together. Use 2 flat screw drivers and try to get them close to the cetner so there is less twisting when you prie them off.

Hoovers the only vacuum my parents would buy..NOT THE PLASTIC ONES...if you take really good care of the classic models they can really last..I'd rather buy a second hand Hover than plastic .I call Vacuums of the Millennium " Dusposable".
