Lionel always triumphed over Lex in their fierce relationship .Lionel thought he understood lex to be like a image of himself. Someone who had a big destiny. But lex had emotional trauma that lionel never understood.
It's sad that Lionel never really understood the trauma he caused his son and he never really tried to make it better. He just got over lex and moved on to Clark as his redemption
Moments like these and dialogue like this is how you carry a superhero series without needing the hero involved in everything. I didn't care what Clark was doing if these two were in a room together because it was always box office. 😂
10 years ago? And talking in present tense. Get out of here you ancient relic. Present day people are always superior to the past people. Your present day self who might be reading this at the time is far better then your past self from 10 years ago. Scam
ahahaha I remember seeing him say "I hear you ran a hectic phone bank today. Must be humbling to pull all those strings, and find out they're attached to nothing."
First time we see that office again since Forsaken in season 3 I believe... I wonder if the set stood unused for a year and a half, or that they rebuilt it for this season. Its quite amazing how it returns like it never left.
@LuthorRequiem I disagree. Partly through season 4 to season 7 we see Lex become more and more ruthless and evil and we see Lionel become more compassionate and good. I thought the switch they pulled was awesome.
An Outstanding Business Genius like Lionel, MUST HAVE DONE something... Not just watching !! But STILL Lionel can own Lex anytime he wants. Thanks God that There is no competition against Lionel's outstanding Genius. If we compare them about their intelligence, Lex would be in 2nd League against Lionel for sure.
@Scoonertuna What was it your disagreed with that I said? I think maybe there's a misunderstanding on what I said, because I actually agree with you 100% :). I loved the switch the two pulled from seasons 4-7 and thought it was amazingly tragic. Almost Shakespearean. I think season five was huge for Lex's turn, and Lionel was still somewhat in the dark side but starting to lean toward the light. IMO.
