I'm glad you got to keep him and are a true father. My ex ran 1,000 miles away and i was told nothing i could do but go to court. She returned a month later kept calling making up stories to the police that i'm abusive. 4 months off of the 2 year mark i haven't been able to go home or really see my son who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at the age of 3 after being removed in 2020 with a order. What really gets me is there is no guarantee he will be one of those that make it considering the survival rate is maybe 60-70% and they waste time not hearing my case cause of covid. I wish the best for you and your son.

I did have that chance last year for a week when he was in the hospital for months at the start of chemotherapy was a strict schedule as i'm out on bond for all the lies. I'm a 36 year old that always kept to himself and never wanted anything but a family and to watch my kids grow money/fame was never on my mind just love. Was never pulled over, had a fist fight with anyone, or arrested till last year when this all started she has been in the system since she was born basically. I tried to make her life better since she was bounced around foster care and other bad things but i wasn't enough apparently. From someone who has dealt with severe depression and social anxiety since the age of 12 and considered disabled thank you for the response since i only talk to the one person a week and that's my pre-trial person for 5 minutes. I'm sorry for venting and goodluck with everything you still have lots of time cherish those baby moments and kisses. As a father of 3 boys that's one thing that always bothered me the day they are too old to be kissed or held.

No different than a nice car in a dark time. No different than a fat stack of nicely rolled bills when you already lost everything you ever wanted. Just material. Money doesn’t buy a hug/kiss from your kids. And it especially doesn’t buy love/respect from anyone. You have to earn those things, even from your children. I sit in my car, just idle in my driveway and I come back to songs like these. Those songs that make you cry..even movie scenes that make you cry. Just shit you can relate to on any level. Glad it worked out for you. As a single father my son just turned 13. Thankfully I've been able to have pretty much full custody since his mom decided to move to a whole nether city. I let him try the start of his 7th grade school year with her. He came home after the first semester because he didn't like being there and said his mom never paid attention to him. Sucks for the kid when you're trying to co parent but the other parents could care less. Shout out to you for being a great father and doing what you had to do for your kids. Not enough people recognize good fathers actually trying.

@@Anzner1993 I appreciate that, 🙏 , it was absolutely a wild road, now it's been a while since I posted that comment, but she completely abandoned my son, I actually had to deal with 2 different crazy evil, narcissistic baby mothers, one after the other, and I do have custody of both my kids and both the moms abandoned the children, I was all for co parenting, but they were fake selfish manipulative liars, and unfortunately they mistaken my kindness for weakness and learned the hard way , it was even crazier how the 2nd baby mother tried to do the same thing as she already knew what I had to go through with my first child and coming out on top and being able to get custody of my daughter was such a great feeling, knowing I would be able to keep her safe took so much stress away, and than came the 2nd narcissist, she was way worse, and she actually abused my son, and the courts kept favoring her even with a child endangerment charge, and no, I'm not a drug addict, I don't have any issues that should allow the judge to determine it was okay to play my son with the same person neglecting him, but that's how family court works, they do not care about the fathers or the children to be honest, they rather just be rite about there decision and move on instead of acknowledging the issue and fixing it the 1st time, and even with video proof of alot of really wild stuff, they refuse to even acknowledge it unless we started trial, but she didn't even make it to trial before she took off and abandoned my son and stopped showing up to court, so I ended up with both my kids, my daughter is now 12, and my son is 6, my daughter was abandoned at 2 years old, and my son almost 2 years old, unfortunately my son ended up having to deal with alot of post trauma and still to this day has some emotional issues, my daughter I was able to keep safe and prevent her mom from causing her harm before she abandoned her. But ya, I got a pretty crazy back story for sure. Been to hell and back multiple times and lived to tell the tales you could say! But as a heads up to any men in similar situations, don't be scared or ashamed to call cops if u got a crazy baby mother that's abusive, don't feel shame, and document as much as u can, record a phone call if neccessary, screenshot texts, or even record them in person the moment u feel something COULD pop off to be proactive, and prevent yourself from falling victim cuz if not for me recording a few phone calls, and in person situations with my baby mother, I could have been arrested and thrown in jail for false claims as she tried to lie and have me arrested for assault and domestic violence as she hit herself with a bat, nd than bragged on the phone that she was gonna blame me and that I'd never see my son again, and anything else to hurt me, but cuz I was recording she ended up getting arrested! So keep hope, and just remember the kids need u to be strong for them, and everything else will work itself out cuz the truth always comes to light!
