Horrific writing in Amazing Spider-Man #24 

Tom King's ENTIRE run on Batman and Zeb Wells' run on Spider-Man should be included in the Characater assassination 101 course.

Thanks for saying everyone's thoughts. I do believe the high chances are that they got split because of Zeb Wells and Joe Quesada's hatred of Peter and MJ as a couple and their marriage. Zeb Wells has written good comics before and did good on Robot Chicken, but writing Spider-man? He's not suitable to write this story: destroying strong characterization and buildup with bullshit, having Spider-man lose his fights and call for reinforcements, and his (Wells) simpiness for the BlackCatxSpider ship making MJ and Peter look worse. I believe also the Editorial doesn't really like the idea because they don't want their flagship character to grow up. I was never a Spider-man fan before my college years (Aka 2021-2022), but I watched the shows and movies to get a good idea about it. Overall, the PeterxMJ ship is one of the most important ships in all of marvel, like Superman and Lois Lane in DC. But at this point, it has been destroyed to oblivion, and I think the majority be better off reading Renew Your Vows, Spider-girl, and just watching the films. Additionally, Black Cat has different morals and ideals from Peter, and the fact that she prefers Spider-man over Peter, and Peter preferring Felicia Hardy over Black Cat, will make it not work. But since that main issue is gone, idk how their morals will work out. P.S., if Stan Lee was still alive, he would probably not like the new run.

This is totally out of character for Mary Jane. The MJ we all know and love would have fought like holy HELL to find a way to get back to Peter, or figure out some way for Peter to find her. She wouldn't just give up, decide to go bang some dorky hipster she barely knows, shoot out a couple of kids, then treat Peter like dirt. I have a feeling the big reveal of whatever Peter did is going to be something like this: after everything he went through to get her back, then finding out MJ hooked up with this Paul clown and had kids, Peter flips out and smacks her. Sort of a Hank and Janet Pym thing.

I'm so glad I'm not reading this run on Spidey. This is actually depressing. Now Peter's stealing crap from a bunch of heroes and constantly getting his butt kicked while MJ is off in another universe shacking up with some random guy. This is legit the worst character assassination I've ever seen. This might actually be worse than One More Day. I'm calling it right now
