I haven't seen a lot of horror collection videos, but I have to say that you're the first I've seen with a copy of Phantom of the Paradise. The same one I have as well.
Every year I watch the Garfield Halloween Special, surprisingly dark for a cartoon. Surprised you don't have some of the Vincent Price classics (unless I missed them): The Raven, Theatre of Blood, A Comedy of Terror, etc...
I haven't separated my collection by genre in years, but I do love horror and would have to estimate that at least a 1/4, maybe 1/3 of my collection is horror. Horror is the genre I have the lowest standards for (i.e. I enjoy a mediocre or bad horror movie more than a mediocre or bad comedy).
Hello. I seem to watch horror less and less over the years but I do love what I've picked up so far and enjoy watching more horror films in the fall and during Halloween season. I often prefer lighter scary films (Universal Horror as example). Thanks for commenting.
Oh yes definitely especially on favorites or those films that I plan to watch over and over. I usually pick a few films every year to upgrade though I might still keep the DVD if not all extras are carried over to the new format.
The Fly Collection set contains The Fly (1958), Return of the Fly (1959), Curse of the Fly (1965), The Fly (1986), and The Fly II (1989). Thanks for watching.
Great collection and your movie room looks great. Just one thing- 28 Days Later is not a zombie movie. It is a virus or infection movie. Lots of people are killed in that movie, but no one comes back to life and starts killing others, which is the whole premise of a true zombie movie like Train to Busan (which is one of the best zombie movies ever.)
Horror is such a difficult to determine genre that I don’t have a separate horror section. I just put them alphabetically between the regular movies. But yours is beautifully organised. I only don’t understand why Prince of Darkness is not with the Carpenter section. Any special reason for that?
Great point on the horror genre. I do have specific labels ordered alphabetically which works well. While making the video, I realized that a few of the titles were out of order including Prince of Darkness which should have been in the Carpenter section. Thanks for watching!
