Absolutely beautiful! Horse Guards, named after the troops who have protected the Sovereign since the Restoration of King Charles II in 1660, is today the official entrance to Buckingham Palace and St James's Palace.

And is not used for horse training. The training takes place at Hyde Park or Windsor.

Thanks, Veronica, for your useful comment. Some others share the same view. I can slow it down only when it's playing, so I advise you to do the same. However, I tried to adjust it by introducing captions [CC], which helps but only a bit. Please try to slow the playing down and tell if it's better. Take care

There are actually 2 other horseguards (unmounted) that guard 2 other positions inside the gates.

They are known as the Chitsman, they are the ones that stand on the right, where the stable entrance is and the Gatesman, who stand on the left,.

The most cringe is people that hold little toddlers up to a horses mouth & face. Things can go wrong so fast & easy. I found myself telling one guy holding his toddler like that & I could see the horses teeth & tongue 😬😱😣 My anxiety rose watching that. People can be so ignorant about animals smh

It's Horse Guards - not Horses Guard. Horse Guards Parade is what it says - a parade ground, they do not train horses here. Some training does take place in Hyde Park, but not here.

@@ioncrisan1549 In fact, Horse Guards Parade was originally the site of the Palace of Whitehall, but unfortunately it burnt down. It was in the form of a quadrangle so the passageway that we see today would have been where the entrance to that inner courtyard would have been. But there wasn't any direct access to Saint James's Park, at that time, as there is now. Of course the building we see today was built much later. There are the architect's plans and elevation of it available on the net.

Este tradus, vezi varianta GARDA CU CAI in limba romana. Dar, la acest video, am introdus si SUBTITLES [CC] care se traduc automat. Pentru aceasta urmeaza: In timp ce video merge, alege SETTINGS, apoi CAPTIONS, dupa care AUTO-TRANSLATE si de aici alege limba care-ti convine. Vizionare placuta
