Nothing annoys me more than jockeys who won’t pull up horses who are out of contention! I wish stewards had the same power to enforce jockeys pulling up during in the race like they have in eventing, where they can be stopped on course if the stewards aren’t happy with the horse’s way of going. It would prevent a lot of ‘tired’ falls as well.
