Getting piping hot meals from vending machines in Tokyo Japan Vending Machines Location Next to Meiji Jingu Gaien Nikoniko Park Entrance Address: 1 Chome-7-5 Kitaaoyama, Minato City, Tokyo 107-0061 Opens 24/7
Friend: "So why do you want to go to Japan so bad?" Me: "I want to try the food." Friend: "Like gourmet sushi and ramen?" Me: "Vending machine hamburger."
I want to go back so bad, it was such a fun trip. Honestly the most fun I had was wandering around Tokyo at 2am drinking hot Boss coffee (the rainbow can was my fave) and going to 24 hour ramen shops. There was this little back alley pub in Osaka that was about as big as my bedroom but made the most amazing food, cheap and tasty~
The travel agencies are missing out on a great tour package opportunity ;-) @Dancing Bacons I LOVE your videos! Thank you so much for sharing them with us!
@∞SakuraSunshine★ not to be rude but I'm fairly certain theyre a husband and wife duo. At least from some reflections you see and most websites/interviewing groups stating they're a married couple comprising of a husband and wife. Might be wrong but just what I've seen around.
@@devadritadas1212 Yeah, I know. And I like the idea of not standing in line with a lot of people. I hate crowds. They should share these kind of Vending Machines outside.
Every single time I see a video like this I think to myself “there’s no fucking way they put THAT into a vending machine” and each time I watch it I am equally surprised and envious
My ex moved to Japan and told me about how there were robots everywhere and how the crazy vending machines were, and about the food in general, but I didn't truly grasp what he meant until watching these videos. It's nuts. Wish we had some of these in America. The attention to detail sometimes is amazing. Like carrots cut into flowers... just such a nice touch.
This is one of my favorite videos on this channel. I just love the sounds in the background, the late afternoon in autumn/winter vibes, the hot food on a chilly day... It's so cozy and nice!
imagine seeing this person irl hanging out at the vending machines for an hour doing nothing but eating and showing his meals to the camera.. kinda sounds fun tho
@@NatsuDragnee1 no this is the guy. DancingBacons consists of a man and a woman - if you watch the vids with Miss DancingBacons in she has longer and nicer nails. This is the camera guy who pretty much owns the channel.
I really miss the hot drink machines from my time in Japan. There's something special about grabbing a hot coffee or cocoa to warm up your hands while out and about on a cold winter day. Of course, the food I miss most is ramen from a tiny place next to my train stop. One of those hole-in-the-wall places that are easy to miss, but I'm glad I tried it one time. Not a big menu or anything, just amazing ramen (typically got it with chashu or these thin triangles of slightly sweet, fried tofu) for cheap.
Don't you guys have coffee vending machines? Those shits are on every corner in my country and it's a third -world shithole lol Coffee is like 30 cents, tastes like ass but it will do the job in the morning or on cold days.
@@666Shinedown I've never seen one on the streets in the US (as opposed to in mall food courts and large office buildings, where I have occasionally seen hot drinks), but the largest city I've spent much time in is about 450K and fairly spread out. I imagine they may be more common in some denser city centers and places designed to encourage foot traffic, while the lower density areas discourage pedestrian traffic in general. In Japan where most areas are very densely populated, things are set up assuming lots of people will be walking, so the vending machines on the streets get plenty of business that they just wouldn't over here. It's a very different style of life; can't say whether it's better or worse since it has its downsides as well, but I do miss some things about it.
@@aeonise Ah makes sense, now that I think about it I never saw 1 when I was in the US. But there was overpriced Starbucks always near by. I got one machine right next to my apartment which helped me a lot this past night since I'm studying lol, I ain't taking em for granted.
I love how this popped up in my recommended, like I didn’t watch it the first time, a year or so ago, and subbed to the guy that day, and been watching since.
Dude the food from convenience stores in japan like 7-11 and Lawson is freaking delicious, oh they have hot food bars near the counter and the fried chicken there is hella good, problem is you typically don't stay in japan long enough to try all the food in the convenience stores since you'll eat out at restuarants too. Also food from different stores, area , and chains are all different apart from the staples so you can go to two store a block apart and find different things/specials. They're very big on variety over there. I've known colleagues who got transfered to a japan office for a month or two and they live of conbini store foods since its generally dirt cheap and better than what they could ever cook themselves.
Corporations in the US have trained Americans really well. We pay more than other countries and expect less in return. Just about every convenience store in the Philippines has great fried chicken and other hot foods. In the US you get questionable foods like hot dogs and pizza warmed by a light.
Hugh Jasshol No need to be rude, this is probably way better than their school lunches. What am I saying, it’s literally in your name, you’re an asshole.
I, too, carry an egg timer and shot glass with me at all times. You never know when you'll get those cup noodle and corn soup-in-a-can cravings while out and about.
I want one of these in my home, automatically restocked with pneumatic tubes and connected to Amazon Alexa so I can have a hot meal waiting for me when my alarm rings
This DancingBacons guy is one of the most thoughtful providers on RU-vid. His videos are informative and the presentation takes into account that the viewer might not be familiar with the products displayed. I learn so much. Thanks!
To be fair that's all I'd eat and I'd be full and happy. And feel good because I didn't throw anything away. However, I am small and eat like 50 times a day instead of 3 so. I've often been compared to a bird or a spoiled housecat.
That's why u don't see a lot of obese people in japan. Edit: just want to clarify that I know this isn't the only factor that contributes to low obesity rate in japan, there's many other things like their genetics and diet.
@@johanneslachman6867 Kitty means she eats small snacks throughout the day to allow her body to process the food easier instead of a large meal all at once. Not that she’s anorexic. Don’t use that word lightly please.
I’ve definitely seen this exact vending machine before with one of my other RU-vid favorites, I definitely want to try it if I get to go to Japan. I don’t know how you eat so much but I’m glad you do because I like seeing everything that’s in a vending machine.
I lowkey hate when people stand in the middle of the road to film something, just go to the side I don't need to see everyone with their children ordering from the vending machines.
@@Vor567tez Heavier people tend to be more depressed and vice versa. Obesity, literally effects the hormonal levels, and causes your body to release higher levels of hormones in the body; which, the body in turn will accumulate more faty cells, as well happens to increase appetite and leads to more weight gain.
I tried one of those "Curry" cup o Noodles...had a spicy warning on it. I ignored that since I like spicy. I saw dead people for three days after eating it.
Yeah, I still regret getting a burger out of one of these in Japan. For anyone visiting, do it once for the experience... but you are way better off just ordering ANYTHING else from an actual vendor.
I love the world that you portray with these videos. There's curiosity, fun, satisfaction and fulfillment. A world that is always only a coin and button press away. It caters to and celebrates our humanity. That's why I love these videos.
Idk why, but it's so relaxing. It's like I'm still a kid and it's the start of the school year and I'm having a walk with a friend after classes. It's early autumn, the weather is warm and wet. And everything's good. Life is good. It was.
The U.S. simply doesn't have a high standards when it comes to food, so I doubt the vending machine foods in the U.S. would taste good. Unless those vending machines are own and operated by Asian. And defintely do not place vending machines in urban neighborhood, it'll get destroy and vandalized daily. Not worth it.
Bro America especially in Las Vegas has vending machines like this. You gotta remember that the US is HUGE compared to Japan so most of this stuff is only in certain areas.
@@pizzarollking4397 I live in Vegas and our vending machine here is crap. Vegas is known for buffets so it's actually more worth it to pay a little more for a buffet that offers wide varieties of selection than eat at a vending machine. Some cheap buffets are only $7.99 and you can eat as much as you want vs spending $4, $5 on a single item in vending machines.
I'm going to be honest, no matter how many times I see these videos of vending machines around Japan I get amazed. People just don't damage the machines, usually you spot them very ofent and the variety of products they sell is quite interesting. I guess the machines wouldn't last not even a day in my third world country 🙄
esbeekay there's 2 of them! I know who you're talking about, I've seen her too. She's might be his wife/gf (not sure which). He usually films while she eats but he's done some where he eats too.
I enjoy these so much! I appreciate how you don't talk all over everything. Does anyone ever walk up to you while you're doing one of these and ask you what the hell you're doing? I thought about that when I saw and heard all the kids around you!
I love that the food is already warm/hot and you don’t need a microwave. Japan took vending machines to the next level! Definitely Intelligent design.👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻
They are around the U.S and I know they might not exist in Canada but I'm fairly certain some are built there or at least the patent/inventor of the early versions was from Canada. Might be wrong but as someone else said I've seen them in some warehouse lunch rooms, some companies buy the cafeteria from the warehouse/factory and will either use these style of vending machines or use a more low tech version. Not a great experience like what I see in Japan sadly, in the U.S if you have that sort of setup they also buy the rights of refrigerators, microwaves, and the warehouse/factory will also place bans on eating in the parking lot, locker room (locker room makes sense tbh) and forbid storing food in the warehouse itself. Some have "tried" to get people from also storing things in their car but that one is a bit harder to pull off. Kinda just forcing you to either drive away to buy food or to use the vending machine, and man I'll tell you if you ever had gas station food it's basically the same quality. Japan really does get the cool shit.
@@jaigerdeva3645 Up here in Northern Ontario Canada we have them at certain mining companies. The burgers and the chicken ceaser subs are really good. You buy them in the machine and then throw them in the microwave.
@@jerryleroy9187 That makes more sense, and the burger holds over well in the microwave? Is it also a bit more modern looking or kinda like the old fashioned coffee machines were they spit out a cup and then the hot coffee comes down all at once
