The Shield is my favorite faction of all time. 3 relatively unknown wrestlers come in, booked as total badasses, dominate and go on to be world champions and main eventers to this day. Even though their run was short it was iconic
@@SamuelJohnsonYT they lost because Evolution I’m sure decided to put them over. Evolution have a total of 40+ championships in total. Idk what you’re on saying the shield is better, again it is your opinion
The shield were truly special. The fact that all 3 went on to become established main events and were even all world champions on the same night is incredible. The shield is wwes last true success when it comes to building super stars
While mostly a fantasy, I would legit kill to see the forbidden door opened between AEW and WWE just to see the Shield interact again. Between Jon Moxley, Seth Rollins current character as a Joker-esque madman with expensive tastes and Roman Reigns as the Tribal Chief I feel like the material the 3 would have to work with is gold.
One very interesting note about The Shield is that their debut, Rollins betrayal, and their reunion all happened at the same arena. Just look in the background of all 3 videos, you can the Indiana Pacers logo in the background. 2012-Survivor Series at Bankers Life Fieldhouse 2014-Monday Night Raw after Payback- Rollins betrays The Shield 2017-Monday Night Raw-The Shield reunites
I want to see all d 3 gimmicks have a Wrestlemania main event next year I really want to see Jon Moxley back to WWE with his new gimmicks not as Dean Ambrose as Jon Moxley
Jon Moxley was caught in a hotel in New York with what he thought was a woman to be a man dressed as a woman. He allowed the he/she to perform felatio on him while his lovely wife was home with their baby girl. He claimed he was too drunk to know the difference. Thankfully I've never been as drunk as he claims
The shield were the only faction to beat up and attack all of my favorite wrestlers such as Undertaker , Kane, The Big Show, John Cena , Randy Orton as well Braun Strowman
Because the shield isnt the most dominant. It's okay but Reigns is the most overrated wrestler of all time and I can think of at least 5 factions that were more dominant@@RandomPerson-ky2rw
From watching their debut, The Shield instantly became favorites of mine. Usually it takes me a while to really get into someone new. And, even though I know it's scripted, I remember actually feeling kind of heartbroken the night Rollins hit Reigns with that chair.
@@lexkanyima2195 Because it broke up The Shield. It didn't matter that it was Rollins, that did it. It would have been just as bad, if Ambrose or Reigns had done it.
@@lisaheisey6168 but the decision was rushed. I mean Batista left the WWE after the promo he made and Rollins turn heel just like that. Because if you think about it Reigns and Ambrose are "the standouts of the group". So you knew they will opportunities in the singles run. He could have fill the void of CM Punk's skills took off.
man, i had happen to watch the evolution faction as well the dx on the other day, and then strike in my mind question about when will wrestle with andy make video about the shields, and today ,i suprise with the question really answer, the full video about the shields appear on my notification, thank you and kept doing the great work, man👏👏
I had stopped watching wrestling for a bit and then I heard what the Shield was doing and I was getting back into it. For the first time I was going to buy merch from the WWE shop, a Shield t-shirt after the beat evolution. The next day Rollins turned heel and I canceled my order. They should have waited a week so people like me could have been sucked him to buying Shield merch then have Rollins turn.
I remember the shield first coming in when I started watching wwe back in 2012 on a slammy awards the shield attacked tommy dreamer backstage on tv. Those dudes attacked everyone and when the music hit , somebody was gonna get beat up. Also, I saw them all in person as a group in their entrance and a match for the first time in 2013 on a smack down event where they was in a handicap match with the shield and Randy orton vs the big show. It’s crazy how much time flew by and where they are at now.
Seeing how little time it took all 3 to accomplish what they have in 6-8 yrs puts them at one of the very best of all eras all that success and they kept the v popularity with the fans
Brock's first return was what got me interested in watching WWE again. The Shield was what kept me watching for more. Loved all three, but Ambrose was my fav. How the company misused not only him, but Undertaker too, was what made me tune out. When I watched your Jon Moxley vid and saw what they did with him after he turned heel on Seth... man I'm glad I tuned out when I did. When Seth betrayed them, it was all handled so well. Not just by Seth, but Ambrose's acting in his promos was superb. The ONLY thing I didn't like about the Shield was their rabid fangirls for the most part. I was a fangirl too, but my god... They were all really something else. Especially some of the Ambrose fangirls lmao
Wwe saw Jon as the underdog and it's pretty obvious, I really hate how they keep calling him the lunatic fringe just because he acts like this wild dog on the ring and also put too much energy in his matches doesn't make him carzy, oh he is definitely weird we have saw that, and about his fan girls (oh god) I didn't expect them to be this obsessed about him and I... I have no words.
@@Michelle-bb7bs Well to be fair, they called him the lunatic fringe because that was the character that Ambrose was supposed to be. I remember Jon didn't make it immediately obvious in the beginning, but he went out of his way to act unstable even when he wasn't wrestling. He had very subtle mannerisms and it sometimes would just come out in the emotion he pushed in his promos.
The Shield was the best team ever! They were able to make an impact on WWE like nobody else, which made them unique. However, I wish their run could’ve been longer, because nothing beat their first run from 2012-2014.
Same formula could have worked well with the Riot Squad. That team was broken up way too soon and could have been more to the company than what they were.
Glad they didn’t drop the ball with these guys like they did with Nexus, I love the initial Nexus storyline and felt like there was so much potential with so many of their members to actually compete, Wade Barrett made a great heel imo. Justin Gabriel was always exciting to watch. Etc. obviously not all could’ve been main eventers but they could definitely have been guys in the IC/ USA championship matches for sure, I did enjoy their successes in tag team matches. Was happy to see at least Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt find success.
I remember at a live event my seat was on the outside and the shield walked past me and as they walked I said “LOSERS!!” and completely no sold it and it’s a wrestling memory I’ll never forget
this may be random but what if their kids start a faction all 3 have daughters and could be a female faction of the shied if they choose to follow in their fathers footsteps
Is this a re-upload? No hate if it is, I just feel like I've seen this already. Either way I freaking loved the Shield, one of my favourite factions of all time.
People like to compare the shield to groups like evolution and nwo, when those factions already had main event level talent and talent that had been on top of the industry for a while, so everything they accomplished is expected cuz we already know what they capable, where as the shield came in as nobody’s if u wasn’t into indys, and dominated main event level talent, ( John cent, randy Orton, shamus, Daniel Bryan, the rock, the undertaker) just to name a few and most of these people where still in there prime so the accomplishments is different.
I had no idea that Punk was the person to introduce The SHIELD to the main roster. Good writing, WWE. I'm impressed. (although they crapped all over Ambrose and the failed years-long babyface push for Reigns).
I still remember seeing them enjoying their work In the beginning ambrose or moxley as for now🤣 was the mouthpiece and unannounced leader Seth was the eye catchy in ring talent and roman was the muscle They were getting god level booking going undefeated for a year That would be a dream beginning for anyone The betrayal of seth rollins was perfectly played but i really wanted dean to be the one who betrays not Seth Seth however did awesome job but with the mic skill of Ambrose he would have delivered some sickest promos But i enjoyed Seth's reign and tbh more than Roman's current heel title reign But we all know that this entire shield stuff was the arrangement for roman to learn the craft without exposing his weaknesses But in the process the other two went to become to one of the modern greats Two indy darlings one hardcore death match lover and another kick fest and spot fest lover went on to gain success in wwe it is weird cause I don't see any indy guys to be successful in wwe now
