It’s honestly one of the largest flaws of GoT World Building. No single dynasty or state can remain in power so long. Some families and organizations exist since 8 thousand years!

Totally, fertile, super easy to defend and near great port cities like Whiteharbor, Braavos and King's Landing.

The Reach is the 2nd largest kingdom and it has plenty of crops.. thus, making it rich in food. The Reach is the best play to rule.

@@Wordlifematt it really comes down to preference. I would choose the Vale because of how easily defendable it is. Throughout the history of Westeros, the Vale has never really been attacked from war. Even in the bloodiest war in the seven kingdoms, the Dance of Dragons, the Vale remained untouched. Meanwhile the Reach is currently under attack from the iron isles. The reach is rich and powerful, but vulnerable from all sides. The westerlands in the north, the iron isles in the west, the dornish in the south, and the storm lands in the east. The Vale has no such weakness, that’s why I would choose the Vale. But the Reach is an equally valid option, it is richer and can summon a larger army

@@Ammoniumbicarbonat fair enough, it’s been forever since I’ve read Fire and Blood. But you get the point I’m trying to make. If I’m lord of the vale, I can go off to war in the river lands, storm lands, reach, etc. and not have to worry about the enemy being able to attack my homeland. No army is going to besiege the bloody gate, and an aquatic invasion is way more effort than it is worth.

@@Caramelo23606 They are all brunette in the show because they didn’t want to dye everybody’s hair. Tyrion and Kevan Lannister should have been quite blonde, as well as the Tully family members, but they were not. Just getting decent wigs for Targaryens was probably hard enough :-)
