There are a ton of awesome neighborhoods in the city of Queretaro, Mexico but in this video I’m showing you 3 of my favorites!
Introducing my new girlfriend: • I MOVED TO MEXICO and ...
These are some of my favorite neighborhoods in Querétaro for a few reasons: They all have great locations, they’re walkable, and safe.
They are actually all older neighborhoods as well which is actually a big selling point for me because it means they’re a bit of an escape from the concrete jungle of the rest of the city.
I also like these neighborhoods because they’re pretty quiet, aesthetically pleasing, and right by or close to a great restaurant scene.
Are these the fanciest neighborhoods in the city? No, not even close. However, I consider them some of the best areas for other reasons. If you’re looking for the fanciest, maybe you want to look at Campanario, Balvanera, or parts of Juriquilla.

Love your prior videos on dating in Mexico. The women are very competitive. The moment you said that you also date somebody else, the bidding goes up with offering of alone time days at a time. lol. In a way you have to appreciate that they don't divorce like the US and if you take the offering it's almost a done deal for them.

Bruschetta is pronounced "broo-sket-ah" a brochette is pronounced "bro-shet" the latter being on a stick like a souvlaki or shish kabob, the first being a very well toasted crunchy bread covered with chopped tomatoes, garlic, fresh basil, olive oil and sometimes smothered in mozza cheese and broiled until melted and then re-drizzled with olive oil.

BROCHETA (from the French brochette) is a skewer, hence the name of any food that comes on a skewer, which in the US we call kebab. BRUSCHETTA (toast in Tuscan dialect) on the other hand, is a toasted piece of bread rubbed with garlic and usually topped with chopped tomatoes. They sound alike, especially because in English we mispronounce BRUSCHETTA. Anyway... you get the point... LOL

20:53 all the houses have an open backyard and there is a pool. You pay a monthly fee and that includes the security and gardening maintenance. The home is gorgeous and that pictures don't do it justice. The current owner built the home and it is in amazing condition. We fell in love with the house but not being able to have a fenced area for my dogs and my kids was a heartbreaking no.

Bro I'm so glad for you that you bounced back so quickly! Mexican girls are the best! They're old school homemakers who take care of their man. I'm a born Yucateco. I literally married the girl next door to my grandmother's house, where we stayed. Merida June 1973. Have you sent her a "serenata?" If not, contract a trio and have them come in the evening to her / your window, usually midnight. If you're intoxicated enough, they may let you sing lol. In all seriousness, she'll worship the ground you walk upon! Lol
@lynnkmiddle
@lynnkmiddle 2 года назад
Wow lucky for you because our landscaper here in Ajijic is married with his wifes baby from another man he pays for plus he has two girlfriends on the side. He told my son that having many girls on the side was the Mexican way. I have to say we experienced the same with a mexican friend who had three children with three different boyfriends. She said she saw no purpose to marriage. Currently one of our very good young mexican friends was raised by his grandparents as his father left him and stayed in the US for the past twenty years. We have not yet met a married Mexican couple who are still with their first wife. Many of the young mexican woman are now into the more modern role of womanhood and not the old school barefoot and pregnant role models of the older generation, this is what our young mexican friend has been teaching us about modern Mexican relationships. If they are all wrong I’m sure it would be a big surprise to them.

There are other options, not so far away, 12 to 15 kilometers from downtown. There are closed clusters with amenities (some with pools and gyms). Much more affordable than the areas that Jordan is recommending here. The areas are called : El Refugio, Zákia, Zizana. If you want something more expensive but with nice views then look for houses in Zibatá. These areas growing so fast, with plazas and shopping centers opening every month. No need to drive downtown with the traffic. Another thing that is important: areas close to downtown flood easily when big storms hit ( it is a desert zone, but when it rains hard, the sewer systems cannot take that amount of water). I have been living in Querétaro for almost 4 years in the area of Zákia, lots of lakes, parks, amenities, shops, etc. It is really nice. Downtown is getting more complicated as more people come and live here.

But I was wondering if you could please make a video of homes in less expensive neighborhoods, yet still safe to live in? I really like the “coto” style housing where there are many homes in a gated community, yet very affordable like in the 150k dollars. Would you please include both rentals and for sale homes? My wife says May reminds her (voice and looks) of Penelope Cruz. And that YOU do not know what you’re in for. 😂😂 (edited part) Also, on your livestream, within the first four minutes or so I noticed when you teased May, (I wish I could remembered the time stamp) for a split second she gave you that Mexican female look that I know all so well. 12:45 you mention random green parrots 🦜. In Chicago, I’ve seen them twice. My understanding is that they were pets who escaped and found small areas of the Chicago area where they can live. I believe they rely on human food waste during the winters and need to be close to some heat sources. There aren’t many but I’ve seen two flocks of maybe a dozen birds twice. Probably same thing there - a pets that escaped and living in specific areas where they can live.

Hi Jordan, if you want to buy a place in Queretaro, you need to start saving as soon as possible. The expectation in Mexico, has been that the husband pays for the house.

Hi Jordan. Can you do a video explaining why gas is cheaper in Mexico than it is in the US? People in San Diego are driving across the border to fill their tanks because gas is about $2 cheaper than it is in Cali.

Gas is subsidized by the government in Mexico, without it it would be way more expensive than in the US because we import most of it.

Purely corporate profiteering. Gas is no more expensive to produce now. The energy companies see the writing on the wall and are doing everything the can to squeeze profits before the world switches to cleaner power. It has nothing to do with Biden or politics, and everything to do with soulless coporate executives. Criminal lie machines like Fox News amplify BS and idiots believe it.

@richard martink u are aware that other parts of the world have high gas prices...and Biden isn't responsible for that right?

How's Laska doing Jordan? When is your next trip planned? Have you got a new tangerine colored car yet? If you're having trouble finding one, why not just get a vinyl wrap for your car. I would suggest if you don't want to have an orange colored car. Put a big tangerine 🍊 sticker on it.

Several nice homes, and I imagine some folks might find these options in their price range. A lot of folks looking to move to Queretaro or Mexico in general may not have $300,000 to drop on a house or they simply don't know if they want to live in Mexico permanently. I won't even talk about the complications of a non-citizen buying property in Mexico. I know it's been done, but how about a video for folks living on Social Security or retirement fixed income, say 2K per month. Are there places where one can pay lower rents than the US there? What areas do you suggest for those folks?
@CassieDavis613

Brent, I agree with you. I would love a video from Jordan on that topic. I think I would trust his research more than the information I have seen on other YT channels. I am 1.5 years away from retirement, and I cannot afford to stay in the USA. My 401 K has taken a considerable hit + inflation has created a financial fiasco.

$2K per month for a single person or couple? Are you selling a paid for home in USA? $2K sounds like just SS. $900/month for that apartment is comparatively cheaper than many places in the USA for a comparable. You need about $6-8k/month income to try to maintain 2 homes. IMO.
@larryescamilla18
@larryescamilla18 2 года назад
2k per month is more than enough to live in Qro, considering most of its citizens don't make more than 800us/month as salary, and I don't see them complaining really that much so you should be good if you do your homework.

What’s funny is this guy doesn’t have a job and doesn’t have enough subs to be making bank with You Tube. How do you live in another country without an income? Doubt he has investment income. Mom and Dad paying his bills?

Hi, Jordan and everyone else ( fans of this RU-vid Channel and Jordan ). I just retired and seriously thinking about moving to Mexico by myself. I will be on a monthly United States ( Social Security ) and a small retirement ( Montana Power ) check, and a monthly percentage VA Check... I am looking for "Low Rent" and "Low Cost of Living" and a ( Bank ) to handle ( direct deposit checks ) each month in Mexico. I would like ( HELP ) from Jordan and his RU-vid Channel on different towns or cities in Mexico to move to... * I would like a smaller town around 6,000' feet and cooler temperatures, and with lots of "Mexican History" * z and of course, Low Rent and Low-Cost Living and still close to a larger city in Mexico for health and other items the smaller town does ( NOT ) have... Drive or take a Mexican bus for transportation, etc... * Jordan does ( NOT ) touch on those points, except the town/city where he lives now in Mexico... * I totally "agree" with everyone... that Jordan needs to branch out into other towns and cities in Mexico and their pros & cons and they're ( Low Rent ) or Buy a House with land and the ( Low Cost of Living ) in those towns and cities, including health care, banks ( direct deposit ), restaurants and "cantinas" and is it safe, etc... Also..., the ( NEW Mexico Paperwork ) for Visitors, vacationers, and Americans moving to Mexico... Seems like the ( New Mexico Paperwork ) is changing every month lately... It could be a major complaint or problem in Mexico, and no one wants to land up in Jail or a Mexico Prison... There have been some strange, sad stories lately about local corruption, etc... * * I totally "agree" with everyone..., ( WE ) need more information, besides the town/city where Jordan lives in... Excellent video and very informative on Jordan's town/city, and thank you for sharing the video and information... " Semper Fi " Mike in Montana P.S.: Let's ( all ) work together on this and with the ( help ) of Jordan... Great guy and I am glad I "Subscribed" to his RU-vid Channel... It's nice to see a ( smile and laughter ) back on Jordan's face again... Thank you, Mayra/May ! ! Mike :)

I started watching right when you left the US. You appear more relaxed now since you got a fresh start outside of you previous relationship/partnership. I'm sure Maddie is a nice gal but it always seemed like she would cut you off and control the videos. I hope to see some travels soon as the channel does have "travels" in the name! Best wishes!
