"Mama" and "Cancer" always make for good commentaries and reactions.

Sleep is soooo good! It’s the most under appreciated song on the black parade album. Also mama and cancer are masterpieces. They’re also on the black parade album.

FINALLY! You're the first reactor I've heard to connect this song with Jazz. This whole song is an ode to the roaring 20's, Jazz and Swing. It irritates the heck out of me when reactors try to come off like they have a bachelor from NYU in music history (present company excepted) but then fail to point out the obvious Jazz influences in this song. (sorry, that was a rant) In interviews Frank Iero shares that his father and grandfather were both Jazz musicians and they actually helped with the composition of this song.

I don't allow myself to play this song while i'm driving, because I know I will break whatever speed limit is set during the bridge

Dude, this whole album is a masterpiece. A good idea would be to listen it from start to finish.

Love your reviews! This is a full-on rock version of a big band swing song. It's one of my favorites on the album because, other than being a great song, absolutely no one else would attempt this. This song highlights a couple of My Chem strengths: Their masterful use of the bridge. Their bridges are these little musical vacations that you sort of never want to leave. They also utilize pauses more than a lot of bands of their era and it's quite powerful. I don't know why more bands don't attempt it...other than it's because they can't pull it off live. It sounds like you didn't love NaNaNa from Danger Days. Give at least one more song from that album a chance: Destroya.

Good reaction! It’s cool when you give your input about the music. I don’t know if someone has already told you, but The Black Parade is a concept album, about a patient that is dying of cancer and it revolves around the topics of his death. And every song is good.The lyrics make a lot more sense when you listen through it in context. Like the music is good on it’s own but it just gets even better when you listen to it in order and understanding what it’s going on. So if you are up to it I would recommend you go through it in order.

You have to listen to 'the light behind your eyes', 'sleep' and 'early sunsets over monroeville' they are so good

Great Reaction! Always had a soft spot for My Chemical Romance and saw them live in 2007. Maybe you want to check out Nightwish for something from the opposite side of Metal. I would suggest Dark chest of wonders, live in Wacken 2013 although the typical introduction would be Ghost Love Score from the same show. 🤘🖤
