Charlie did the painting but Gail had a few technical issues uploading! Success at last. There is some flicker. That's my next technical issue to resolve for the next video.
Well this one was a real treat. My wife and I watched it last night and we were so pleased to see how it started with the outline and gradually grew to a very fine autumnal scene. Thanks for sharing. And you are right, those are the best brushes for the money. Tough ones.
Holy moly that palette! Looks like a jungle of watercolours have taken over it! It can easily carry a kilogram of paint! Coolest looking lived palette ever! Painting looks awesome as always!!
I'm having a go at this georgeous one today in acrylics. That No 8 aquafine brush is fantastic. A shout out to Gail. She does a great job. Love the guff between you two!
I've learned so much from your videos and your book, "Pocket Book for Watercolour Artists". I enjoy watching these videos and listening to you and Gail talking while you paint. Thank you!
Thanks Charles your the best teacher out there love your work I was struggling until I found your channel as you say it’s easy but following you it’s made me a lot better and more confident and thanks to you I’m totally addicted to water coloured pencils
Wonderful. It seemed like hard work for me to attempt but that last 15 mins that brought all the hard work out to shine brightly was so worth it. Loved it
Great to find your channel. Years ago I bought a couple of your courses from your website and you sold me one of your fabulous paint Palettes that I absolutely treasure. I am now brilliant at painting loaves of bread 🍞though they tend to look a little bit sheepy…😉 I started out with acrylics but it was you who got me onto watercolour and I have never looked back. Thank you Charles, painting watercolours changed my life as it brings me so much pleasure. Happy painting ✏️🎨🖍️ PS: edit, hope Gail’s foot is ok now.🦶
love watching every last bit of it ,always good to watch ,and if any one gets the chance they should watch you live , or got to a work shop you learn so much from the day
I absolutely love this one, Charlie, and I think I might even have a go at it. I've been having a bit of a catch up fest, trying to get my mojo working again - I've been creating lots of bin fillers lately. But, once again, you've got me in the mood. You really don't have any idea how insirational you can be, do you? Clever bugger that you are :D
Very enjoyable! I dabbled with other channels, but I am going to stick with yours. You and Gail make it fun, and thats what matters. I am just getting stuck in now, not fiddling about, my twiggy bits flicky bits, and digital art are coming along nicely
What a cracking video, and love watching your technique, i have tried so many times to mirror your style and have come up more cartoonish than real. But certain parts of my painting does excite me when it goes how i want it.. I do have a problem with my right hand not got the movement i once had and have to guide with my left. But your aquafine brushes are good and help. But even thou there not masterpeices, i enjoy them immensely. So thankyou for your time for us tryers..
Hello Charles. I love your work. But please. Can you tell us about you palette?🎨. Im new at watercolors and I see yours and was wondering about the way is set up. It looks like theres no room to mix the paints and many colors crowded together. Is there a strategy behind rhe way is set up? Thank you 🙏🏼 you are the beat teacher in RU-vid 😊
Hi Charles. I've been watching your wonderful work for years now! Your palette is limited yet produces amazing results with your magic touch. You use Hooker's Green. Question: Why Hooker's Green and not Viridian or some other Green as the base from which to mix other greens?
Is that the original paint palette? Thought you put original that your mum bought you, on the wall. If this is no.2 it looks as fabulously worked, well used and will fit beautifully with no.1
A question if I may: does Gayle (or is it Gail?) paint at all? She always seems to know where to poke the camera. At least your painting didn't have this horrible storm running through it so it's brightened my day up. Thanks.
Hi Charles. Also you use Yellow Ochre instead of Raw Sienna? What is your reason for that choice, because it looks like you have put thought into your palette of 8 colors. Thanks again for your response.
@@charlesevans7706 I have the Landscape book that I got about 3 years ago. I recall you had an explanation of your palette at the beginning. I painted all the scenes you had and turned out great!
Hi Jessica, I’m watching on a small iPad and have no problem hearing everything, but if I watch on my computer I can barely hear, unless I attach an external speaker. So I was thinking maybe it’s your device?
