"This is a Muffin, I'm not too sure on her species" Lmaoooooo Also could you please possibly make a video on how to mount orchids/ their care when they are setup like that? Thank you Nick
mine like plants with thin or skinny leaves ( palms are just cat food- i had a majesty palm for about a year and it was always half eaten) and sometimes my pothos- i don’t get anything that’s super toxic but stuff that if they munch every once and a while that just makes their mouth itchy i don’t worry about.
I think if he had done a 12 part video and went into more depth of what he uses for certain groups for potting mix. The direction of the window the plants on the wall and place are facing of how much sun per day each group gets. Then just zipping through it to show he knows all the names. When we purchase plants we all try to be good parents and learn their names. But it is a good video to see what ones you like and might want to buy that you never seen before.
Regular stalker, rarely a commenter here. I just had to come in to say thank you for always taking the time to add all the plant names and for using the botanical name as much as possible. It really encourages one to be able to do more research on a specific plant. 😊
Your collection is amazing. I would love a tutorial on how you do the stand for your air plants. So cool. Also, you don't have to rush! We could watch you talk about plants forever, lol!
Wow, all of you plants are arranged so nicely, you must get a lot of sun, a south facing window maybe. My goodness, you name them plants as if you were citing your abc’s. So impressive. Thank you.
I just wanted to say how proud you should be if your naming knowledge of your plants. Knowing all the botanical names is such a feat and you speak so eloquently!
@@carawestgate I'd recommend not doing that. Cats have almost clawed their eyes out because they got it on their paws and then into their eye from washing their face.
All you videos are a joy to watch. You have really inspired me. Please keep doing what you do. And Never worry that your videos are too long, your genuine excitement&passion for house plants is so pure👌💐💞🍀🌱
You are my inspiration! I have only 120 plants and its a part-time job and I have a full time job. Please tell me how you do it. I keep saying, "I am not buying anymore...," and what do I do, I buy two more each time.
Muffin needs some buttering, lol. As expected, what a lovely collection! It's amazing how you can remember a lot of their scientific names. And this is just part 1!
Stunning. I'm so glad you put the names on screen, as I am a "newbie" and you certainly can let a mouthful of Latin roll! I sure hope you never have to move. I can't imagine trying to move all those plants.
I pray that you never have to move out of your house. omg it would take weeks to give your plants a proper new home! Thank you for this content. it's helping me identify my plants and future plants!
How I loved this plant tour! What i particularly loved about this tour is that you have many beautiful "not so common" plants known to live comfortably in an apartment within the eastern region of the U.S.; I live in NYC. Thank you! While I don't have quite as many plants as you do, you give me hope to keep trying as a plant mom. I also have 3 cats (my babies), so I try to leave them chill out room on the window sills. #plantgoals
hi Nick, I LOVE your apartment and all of your plants. It was so cute to see Muffin in the video, she was saying "Dad, come pay attention to me!" please give Muffin a hug for me.
I love that you know and remember all of the names AND mention the common names too! I watched the whole thing and added AT LEAST 10 more plants to my wishlist 😂 I was also watching for ideas on how to display plants! I live in a small house, and I’m totally going to put trellis on my walls! Thanks for the idea and showing us around your apartment!
Loved this video! I watched this with my bullet journal open to the “plant wishlist” page and I know I’ll do this a few more times. So nice to finally see MUFFIN, the cat!!! Gorgeous, little urban jungle kitty!!! ❤️
Well, I loved this!! The thing that impresses me most is how you can rattle off the plant names without tripping over your tongue! Looking forward to another plant adventure with you and all the other admirers🤩🤩🤩
I love your tours! I like that you zoom out and show an overview shot. So many tours are so zoomed in, it is hard to appreciate the beauty from afar. It would be great to see an apartment tour just an overview of each space without saying the name of each plant.
I totally just made a wish list based on your tour, lol. I live vicariously through your videos. We are military, so for moving purposes, I have to keep my plants to a manageable level. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and space!
Great video. Very informative and impressive that you can list all those plant names. I had no idea there were so many types. Love how sweet Muffin is! Such a good kitty!
I liked how the scindapsus pictus argyraeus grew around the room at 1:24 so much (also at 10:13) I've been looking for one for months and today I finally got lucky at the hardware store :D excited to have this new friend with me💚
I always assumed you lived in a big house, but it seems you live in an apartment just like me. You’ve given me some ideas on how to make more space for plants!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for taking the time to do these videos and for putting all the names in the video!!! You are amazing, God blessed your memory 😱
Hi Nick, wow so many beautiful plants, and you have such great light in your apartment. And my daughter thinks I have a lot of plants in my 760 square foot house,( I have 170) I am always rearranging to fit more. When I have my sunroom in the next year or so I will have all that room for more plants, possibly some larger ones. I am really looking forward to part two to see what else you have hiding in your apartment. Thanks Nick, fun video, I always enjoy seeing all of your plants and how you have them arranged. Take care see you soon, bye for now.
Thank you so much for showing us your plants and also thank you for stepping back to let us see how you arranged your plants - so beautiful and inspiring! Best from Germany :)
I wish I could remember the names of the few plants I have. Super impressed with your memory and your beautiful collection. Muffin is totally the star of this video. I can’t have a large plant collection because my cat eats plants so I have one window that I close the door to so my plants are safe.
I've found the easiest way to learn plant names is to label them and talk about them! I have over 50 houseplants at this point and I remember all their names (with the exception of 1 or 2 succulents). Practice!
i am watching this with pencil and paper cause some of those plants i Really Want i love these tours to see what conditions more experienced plant lovers keep their lovelies in
Fabulous video and yes, I watched the whole of part one. Nearly all your plants are looking in excellent health. Watering must be a nightmare!! Muffin is gorgeous, I love all black cats. Thank you for an excellent tour.
I was so excited to see you had another house tour up. I like how you hang your plants in your windows at varying heights, as well as how you mounted your plants. Your place looks very nice. I took notes on ones I'd like to add to my collection.
You rock! I love watching you go through all these beautiful plants, while naming them, like the expert you are! And! My wishlist just got longer! I think I've gotten 30+ new plants since I found you channel!
Love the plants, love the tour... I think the microwave though crowded has character. I loved when you said, "Gotta use the room you have," in one of your previous plant tours!
how on earth you remember all those names i will never know 🥺 im from Philly and just started my plant journey (i have 6 total rn) and just came across your channel I'm Obsesseddddd!!!! I'll have to visit your store someday 🧡 this house tour is AMAZING
