I just purchased a senecio macroglossus (wax ivy) a month ago!! Had been searching for one for over a year and was not able to find one in person, locally😔! Hi Harli, so exciting to see a little more of your new house, it is beautiful and big. I love that you can have plants in both of your bathrooms, one of my two bathrooms has a tiny window, but it is also where the kitty's litter box is, so I don't have any plants in that tiny bathroom. The other bathroom is the master bath but has no windows at all, it is really dark so I won't punish any plant by trying to grow them in there even with grow lights because that would be the only light they would receive. I love that Senecio Macroglossus, it reminds me of an ivy but without the headache of spider mites, that is one reason I don't buy any ivy even though I love them. I also have a variegated wax ivy in my bathroom! Im jealous yours is so bushy, mine came as one long tendril wrapped around a stick. I wish there was more info out there about this plant too. I tried to make it bush out by pinning the tendril end to the soil but that stopped growing and it popped out a random tendril on the top to keep reaching the light fixture :/ so now it’s two long tendrils instead of a bush. So yeah it’s a funny little plant with a mind of its own.

I was literally just gonna google low light bathroom plants and checked my subscriptions and saw this. I just got a grow light for my windowless bathroom but my sprengers fern is turning yellow. So I have my Chinese evergreen in there thriving but need to find more. Thanks for this!

You could add some shelves to your bathroom and that would be a place to put your daily stuff .... plus more plants 😏 . My design shelf input 😂 Two wood ( same color as your vanity ) with black brackets over the small towel holder by the sink and then 3 long wood shelves with the black brackets on the other side of the door ✨

Do you leave the bathroom lights on a bunch? If not they will die eventually sadly. They may die eventually regardless without the proper type of light. Those plants can survive for months with no light but ALL plants need light eventually of they will die. You can't photosynthesize without light and they need to do that or they will die.

Love, love, LOVE the Caladiums! About your previous try with them, did you know the leaves die in the fall/winter and the bulbs grow new leaves in the spring again? I would love to see a video about the Caladiums!
