In this episode I change the back box on the Saab, Service the engine, and remove the dash cluster to sort the mismatched speedo needle and reassemble the dash heater vents!

I had a Peugeot 309 GRD that the exhaust blew and melted the bumper until almost the whole left hand corner was missing, but I managed to get a second hand one by bartering my welding skills and repairing a cast iron gate post, those were the days 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👍🏻

That little filter drain is a bit awkward - I shove a hose over it and drain it that way but you still get oil on the exhaust. If you think the Saab is bad the same engine in an Alfa is a nightmare - needs the inner arch removing. Thanks for posting the vent repair guide, really helpful that and very clear.
