Living by this quote, Five Guys has grown to be a multi-million dollar company having over 1500 locations across the world and is the fastest-growing fast-food chain in the United States. This is the story of its founder Jerry Murrel and the company’s journey to success.
While their recipes were known for being far from healthy, they became popular nonetheless, and are surprisingly still followed strictly to this day.
They have had a history of refusing delivery to top government officials, and even declined a request from the president, Barack Obama, and the founder of the Pentagon and insisted that deliveries made the food cheap. Jerry even put out a large sign outside the restaurant saying ’ABSOLUTELY NO DELIVERY’.
When Jerry decided to start the restaurant with his sons, he knew that he was taking a gamble. It worked in everyone's favor. Years after starting as a family venture, Five Guys has over a thousand locations worldwide.
There lies work for them in the days ahead as Five Guys aren't the best-favored burger restaurant among Millenials. However, their belief, commitment, and quality have bought them this far and will surely take them forward too.
